Timeform View

QITAAL's losing run is mounting but he was emphatically on top of the remainder when just touched off in a well-run affair at Ripon last week and is taken to make the most of this opportunity from the same mark. Helmsley has been shaping up well lately and is considered the main threat.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Qitaal traded at a low of 3.10 and Betfair SP of 5.43 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Percy's Daydream
Produced a career best after 7 months off when landing 8-runner handicap at Doncaster (1¼m, good to firm) in April, having run of the race. Not in the same form at Catterick and regressed further when cutting out alarmingly at Leicester on most recent outing.
Mao Shang Wong (IRE)
Bounced back to best when scoring over C&D in May, albeit suited by the way the race developed. Proved a let-down at York subsequently, though, not least from an attitude perspective.
Helmsley (IRE)
Winner of a Redcar novice in October on final start for Ralph Beckett and backed up the promise of recent outings in first-time tongue strap when beaten only by a bang-in-form opponent at Chester 10 days ago. Likely to go well again.
Qitaal
On a losing run but turned in his best effort of the season dropped in grade when second of 7 in 1¼m handicap at Ripon last week and looks well-in from the same mark.
Titian (IRE)
Went backwards from reappearance when beating only a couple home in 1¼m handicap at York 11 days ago. First-time cheekpieces need to have a positive effect.
