Timeform View

RAGE OF THUNDER didn't shape at all badly with a view to stepping back up to this trip when fifth in a higher grade at Sandown 11 days ago and he could be worth chancing from a further reduced mark. In-form mare Twirler looks an obvious danger, with Laughterintherain and Monsieur Patat another pair worthy of a second look.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Rage Of Thunder traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts: Exhibitioning has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Obsidian Dream
Has not made it to the track all that much in the last few years and went backwards from his recent return to action when well held over 7f here 12 days ago. Blinkers now reached for on return to sprinting and this is certainly a less demanding assignment.
Twirler
5-y-o mare who was well suited by run of the race when scoring at Windsor (6f) in May and matched that level from 4 lb higher when second at Goodwood (6f) 18 days ago. One for the shortlist again in this form.
Rage Of Thunder (IRE)
Regular slow starter who took a step back in the right direction whilst shaping as if he would benefit from this step back up in trip when staying on fifth at Sandown (5f) 11 days ago. Could be worth chancing to build on that having eased a little more in the weights.
The Caribbean (IRE)
Took advantage of drop in grade when winning at Wolverhampton (7f) in December. Good third over same C&D next time but found a very slow start catching him out at Southwell in February. Betting can guide on this return from 4 months off.
Massimo Blue
Doubled career tally at Southwell (6f) in October prior to finishing runner up at Wolverhampton later that month. Not in quite the same form on all-weather thereafter during the winter and interesting what the market makes of him on return on just his second turf start.
Albert Cee (FR)
Gained a second win of 2026 in 11-runner handicap at Southwell (6f) in May but in nothing like the same form when last of 9 at Yarmouth (6f) 2 weeks ago. Seems at his very best when fresh.
Monsieur Patat
9-y-o who tasted success twice in 2025 and, following 6 months off, resumed with a respectable third at Kempton (7f) in May. Returns to sprinting operating 2 lb below last winning mark and he's not ruled out.
Escape Plan
Gained breakthrough success at Kempton (6f) in March and lines up here having shaped better than bare result when eighth of 9 in handicap at Bath (5.7f) 32 days ago, eased having been hampered/stumbled. Could yet have more to offer on turf.
Forever My Prince
Doubled his tally in claiming company at Leicester on final start for Eve Johnson Houghton back in October. Hasn't yet replicated that form for present stable, not seeing his race out when fifth at Chepstow (7f) 25 days ago. Cheekpieces go back on.
Exhibitioning
Promise on second of 3 starts in novice company but ended 2-y-o campaign on a low-key note and similar story after 8 months off when last of 10 at Windsor (6f) 2 weeks ago, weakening from 2f out. This promises to reveal more with hood retained.
Laughterintherain (FR)
Lightly-raced filly who failed to fulfil the promise of her 2 previous runs when seventh of 10 in handicap at Nottingham (1m) 3 weeks ago, possibly unsuited by the softer going. Far too soon to be writing her off now tackling a sprint trip for the first time.
Roman Spring (IRE)
Successful 3 times on turf/all-weather in 2025. Has yet to scale same heights this time around but best not judged on his latest Brighton run given he seemed disadvantaged by racing closest to near rail. Now finds himself operating 1 lb below last winning mark.
Arjack
Ardad colt who fared better than previously following 6 months off when sixth of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (7f) in March, outpaced home turn before plugging on. Absent again since and drop back to sprinting not sure to suit.
Yes Waliim (IRE)
Hasn't improved for the switch to handicaps as anticipated this season, unable to figure tackling softer ground than previously when seventh at Salisbury (6f) 2 weeks ago. Mark has eased a little more ahead of this but others look stronger.
