Timeform View

GOLDEN PALACE has largely been highly tried following a pair novice victories last summer but produced her best effort yet when posting a good third in listed company at Musselburgh (7f) 18 days ago A return to this stiffer track could see her to better effect here and she shades preference over Surrey Stakes winner Elusive Butterfly who concedes weight all round. C&D winner Albaydaa and Stimulative Trip look best of the others.

Timeform Comments

Ellusive Butterfly (IRE)
Southwell maiden winner who was beaten twice in pattern/listed company earlier this season but found some improvement under a change of tactics when landing listed Surrey Stakes at Epsom (7f) 3 weeks ago. A repeat gives her sound claims back against her own sex.
Albaydaa (IRE)
Notched 7f Wolverhampton maiden in November and bettered that form in handicaps since, placed twice prior to resuming winning ways in a C&D fillies' contest 25 days ago, by a neck from reopposing Just A Girl. Overcame widest trip then and interesting leading yard pitch her into this grade.
Applesandpears
Registered back-to-back victories in all-weather novice events at Chelmsford/Newcastle in 2025 and stepped up appreciably on her seasonal return at Haydock when ¾-length third of 9 to Albaydaa in a C&D handicap last month. Does need to pull out more with sights raised, however.
Assaranca (IRE)
Boast plenty of experience and she posted a career-best effort when doubling her tally at Lingfield (7f) in May. However, never figured returned to this level when fifth behind Elusive Butterfly in Surrey Stakes at Epsom 3 weeks ago. Looks up against it again.
Classic Cuvee
Doncaster maiden winner on second start last summer but has seemingly had her limitations exposed in stronger company since, off 7 months/minus the hood prior to finishing sixth in listed company at Goodwood (1¼m, good to firm) 32 days ago. Blinkers now reached for down significantly in trip.
Confide In Me
Harry Angel filly who made the perfect start when landing an 8-runner Southwell novice (7f) in April and took a step forward under a penalty when second at Redcar (6f) later that month. Remains open to improvement back from a break for all this is a big jump up in class.
Figjam (IRE)
Justified cramped odds in a Leicester novice (6f) prior to finishing a good second in listed company at Doncaster (6f) in October. Proved she's trained on without really threatening at Group/listed level in recent months but she's not without each-way hope in this field.
Golden Palace
Successful in novices at Beverley and York on first 2 starts as a juvenile. Highly tried in handful of starts subsequently and she produced her best effort yet when third in Musselburgh listed contest 18 days ago, running on. This stiffer track could see her to better effect and she's worth a look.
Just A Girl
Won 1m novice at Lingfield last August and ran best race yet by a clear margin when second behind Albaydaa in a C&D handicap 25 days ago, aided by the run of the race. Understandably has much more on her plate on these terms, though.
Stimulative Trip (FR)
Well-bred filly who overcame trouble in running to make a winning debut at Newbury 97f) 12 months ago. Fared a little better than she had in the Fred Darling on return when sixth in listed company in France in May and she comes here with her stable firmly amongst the winners.
