Timeform View

SALIBA shaped with promise when third on debut at Gowran in May and is taken to step forward and score. Listentodwindblow rates the main danger after a much-improved effort following a gelding operation, with Krasimir, Dark Leader and Kalir also worthy of consideration.

Timeform Comments

Akissfromarose (IRE)
Well beaten in maidens at Dundalk and the Curragh this year. Blinkers now enlisted.
Cello Sonata
Sergei Prokofiev gelding. Half-brother to winner up to 7f Amroon (2-y-o 6f winner) and 5f (including at 2 yrs) winner Desdemona. Dam, winner up to 7f (2-y-o 5f winner). Market can guide on debut.
Chloe's Boy (IRE)
Soltsass gelding. Dam 7f-11.5f winner. Yard not known for winning newcomers.
Coolshine (IRE)
Dandy Man gelding who was never dangerous on debut and likely needs more time.
Dark Leader (IRE)
Promising first effort when second of 10 in 7f Limerick maiden in April but could only run to a similar level when 5½ lengths sixth of 9 to Alphonsus Liguori at Killarney last time. Yard in fine form at present.
Highwayman (FR)
Well held in maidens from extended 6f to 1m. In top hands but possibly one who won't reveal his true potential until handicapping.
I Got To Go (IRE)
Holy Roman Emperor gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful 7f-11.5f winner Flying Fairies. Likely best watched on debut.
Kalir (IRE)
In frame on all 4 starts in maidens, producing best effort when 1½ lengths third of 10 to Golddream at Dundalk in April. Slightly below that form last time but entitled to be in the mix if getting back on track.
Kingcharles (FR)
Well held in maidens at Navan and Gowran.
Krasimir (IRE)
Placed on all 5 starts, best effort when length third of 5 in conditions event at Leopardstown on debut 6 days ago. Seems sure to give his running but vulnerable to less-exposed sorts.
Listentodwindblow (IRE)
Highly tried as a juvenile and, having been gelded, stepped up on reappearance when 1¾ lengths second of 15 in 9.5f maiden at Gowran last time. Claims if able to replicate that form back down in trip.
Niobite (IRE)
Zoustar gelding. Brother to 2-y-o 7.4f winner Wholetthedogsout. Dam unraced half-sister to useful 6f winner Clear Impression. Little impact in pair of maidens of the Curragh and low-grade handicaps will be more his thing.
Nthea Spirit (IRE)
Kool Kompany gelding. Dam twice-raced half-sister to useful 6f winner Hold Your Colour. Likely one for later on.
Pinoroyale (IRE)
Pinatubo gelding. Closely related to 1½m winner Golden Lyra and half-brother to 14.5f winner Going Gone. Dam unraced sister to German Derby winner Sea The Moon. Tenth in barrier trial in 2025 when trained by Sheial Lavery.
Saliba (IRE)
Ten Sovereigns gelding. Dam, placed at 1m-1¼m, half-sister to useful US 8.5f-9.5f winner Toofareastiswest, third in US Grade 2 9f event. Shaped well when 6¼ lengths third of 16 in 1m maiden at Gowran on debut. Seems sure to progress.
Transcript (IRE)
Starspangledbanner gelding Dam, won Oaks (and runner-up in Irish Oaks), sister to smart 2-y-o 1m (Fillies' Mile) winner who stayed 1½m Together Forever and half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m Lord Shanakill. Won 9-runner barrier trial at this course in May. Interesting newcomer.
