Timeform View

Hugo Palmer is having an excellent season with his 2-y-os and his GLORIOUS GAME arguably brings the best form to the table after her all-the-way win at Windsor. What A Girl Wants barely had a race in the Albany so this quick turnaround shouldn't be a problem, while the selection's stablemate Californian Angel showed plenty to work on at Nottingham.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

A strongly contested lead could count against Glorious Game, who is expected to try and race close up: Such a hotly-contested pace as is on the cards here may be to the benefit of Californian Angel who is likely to make a challenge late.

Timeform Comments

Beauty Box (IRE)
Promise first 2 starts before finding a weak race at Ripon last week. Others probably have more potential.
Californian Angel
65,000 gns yearling, Dark Angel filly. Dam 6f winner out of winning half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Nahoodh (won Falmouth Stakes). Lacked the know-how that most 2-y-o newcomers from his yard have had when third of 12 in novice at Nottingham 3 weeks ago and is bound to improve.
Glorious Game
£85,000 yearling, Pinatubo filly. Closely related to smart winner up to 9f Feliciana de Vega (2-y-o 7f/7.5f winner). Knew her job in becoming her stable's fifth 2-y-o to make a winning debut this year at Windsor 17 days ago by 1½ lengths from Motown Filly. Expected to be bang there.
Havana Sprite
Off the mark at the third attempt when landing the odds in Bath novice 12 days ago. Can make her presence felt up in trip.
Margaret's Pearl
A'ali filly. Bagged 8-runner novice at Pontefract (5f) second time up but tailed off in listed event at York since. Tongue strap/headgear now applied.
Motown Filly (IRE)
100,000 gns yearling, Cotai Glory filly. Half-sister to several winners, including smart winner up to 1m The Mackem Bullet. Promising 1½ lengths second to Glorious Game in novice at Windsor on debut. Does have some ground to make up with the winner but she should have more to offer.
The Can Can Queen
Sharper for her debut when winning novice at Ripon, disputing the lead before responding well. Not seen to best effect in Hilary Needler at Beverley since and she remains with potential.
What A Girl Wants (IRE)
Consistent rather than progressive form to be placed all 3 starts in Ireland for Robson De Aguiar. Barely had a race in the Albany (repeatedly denied a run from halfway) last week.
