A trappy sprint which can go the way of veteran IMPRESSOR, who has been shaping up well recently and Phil Makin's charge can capitalise on this drop in grade returned to the minimum trip. J Street landed her first handicap at Southwell last week and she looks a big danger under a 5-lb penalty. Pivotal Terms completes the shortlist.

Timeform Comments

J Street
Hadn't been shaping too badly since joining current yard and capitalised on the drop in grade to win her first handicap in 8-runner event at Southwell (5f) last week. Should be in the mix if in the same mood carrying a 5-lb penalty.
Jm Jhingree (IRE)
A 3-time winner (including over C&D) for Jim Goldie in 2025 but well beaten in a handful of 5f handicaps since joining current yard. First-time cheekpieces applied but has plenty to prove now.
Impressor (IRE)
C&D winner last September who ran his best race since reappearance when third of 9 here earlier in the month. Presumably found the run coming too soon 6 days later (found less than looked likely) and worth another chance, especially should any rain arrive.
Thornaby Pearl
Built on the promise shown on first 2 starts this season when scoring in an apprentice event at Pontefract (5f, good) earlier in the month. Shaped as if still in good form when fourth of 6 at Nottingham (5f, soft) since and should give another decent account.
Pivotal Terms
Opened her account at the ninth time of asking in 13-runner 6f handicap at Newcastle in April. Ran well despite not really settling after a slow break when second of 6 at same course (5f) just over 3 weeks ago and she would be folly to ignore returned to turf.
Doon The Glen
Refitted with a visor when gaining a first handicap victory in 7-runner event here (5f) earlier in the month, suited by the way the race developed. Found out in better company a week later and better showing anticipated back in a class 6 contest.
