Timeform Comments

Mount Ruapehu (IRE)
Upped his game upon joining this yard, winning 3 times over 6f at Southwell this year but arrives after 3 consecutive poor efforts and it seems as if he's gone off the boil.
Mr Cool (IRE)
Winless since scoring at Ripon around this time last year, though he did some decent late work after struggling to go the early pace when third of 7 in a handicap there (6f, good to firm) last week. Remains 12 lb below last winning mark.
Sherlock (IRE)
Gained a breakthrough win at Newcastle in February and made the frame on 3 of his next 4 starts. Just a respectable effort when sixth of 10 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good, 10/3) 20 days ago but overall body of form means he can't be ruled out with blinkers back on.
Iris Dancer
Ten-time C&D winner capitalised on a much-reduced mark when gaining a narrow success here in June and went close to following that up when beaten just a neck in another C&D event last week, finishing well after coming under pressure before most. Leading player again with blinkers back on.
Penny Mountain (IRE)
Opened account over 6f at Newcastle on New Year's Day. Several good efforts without winning since, though she seemed to struggle with the pace dropped back to this trip when third of 7 in handicap at this C&D (good, 9/2) 15 days ago and she might now be more effective at further.
Wee Dresser
200/1 but much improved on her turf debut (third start) when third of 7 in 6f maiden at Ayr last month and seemed to make her effort earlier than ideal when sixth of 8 at Carlisle (6f, good) on handicap debut 10 days ago. Still unexposed.
Tarlac (IRE)
Sole success to date came at Ripon (6f) last spring. Has yet to finish better than mid-division so far this season and others make far greater appeal.
