Timeform View

PENTONVILLE has a double penalty to shoulder but is taken to make his class tell and complete a quick-fire hat-trick. Venturing is capable of better still now going handicapping for a new yard, while Ritaal promises to be suited by the step back up in trip given how she finished at Lingfield 3 weeks ago.

Timeform Comments

Pentonville
Has shown improved form fitted with cheekpieces switched to handicaps, readily getting off the mark in 13-runner amateurs' event at Wolverhampton before following up in cosy fashion at Brighton (1m, good to firm) 4 days ago. Expected to take some stopping carrying a double penalty.
Ritaal (IRE)
Made more impact than previously dropped in grade fitted with first-time cheekpieces when fourth of 8 in 7f all-weather handicap at Lingfield 3 weeks ago, finishing well. Must enter calculations on turf debut with step back up in trip promising to suit.
Napolian (IRE)
Showed plenty of ability in 4 starts as a juvenile. Well beaten on 6f Thirsk handicap debut/reappearance and, while he should strip fitter, it remains to be seen if the step up to a stiff 1m suits.
Station Bar
Left behind a couple of lesser efforts to get off the mark in 3-runner handicap at Bath (1m, good to firm) 30 days ago. That was a decidedly thin race, however,
Venturing (IRE)
Showed more than previously when fourth of 12 in a maiden at Dundalk (1m) in February. Has since left Donnacha Aidan O'Brien and capable of better still on handicap debut for new yard.
Albertini Star (IRE)
Showed more than on debut when 2 lengths sixth of 9 in C&D maiden in October, finishing with running left. Never involved switched to all-weather the following month but should have more chance now entering handicaps in a first-time hood.
Norcross Brow
Matched the pick of his juvenile efforts when runner-up at Southwell on handicap bow in January. Hasn't gone on since though, turning in a poor effort in a first-time hood at Ripon on final outing for Ollie Pears last time.
