Timeform View

TREBLE TEE has had excuses on account of trip/ground on his last 3 starts (including on return at Doncaster in the spring) and with his run style suggesting he should take to the all-weather, he could well be worth siding with to make his class tell here back from a break. Heading up the dangers is Back In Black who brings a very solid profile to the table, with El Matador and Dosman completing the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Regalian traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Back In Black has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP 4 times on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Treble Tee (IRE)
Quickly made up into a smart handicapper last term, defying a 6 lb lower mark in emphatic fashion at Doncaster (1m) in September. Had excuses on account of trip/ground all 3 starts (including on return) since and run style suggests he should take to all-weather. Holds a class edge here.
Al Mubhir
Smart sort at best but not won since 2024. Returned from Australia after another breathing operation when tenth of 13 in a handicap at Thirsk in May. Failed to build on that when last of 5 at Hamilton (1m) since and hard to know how much ability remains at present.
Ancient Rome (USA)
Smart performer at his best but largely found things tough last year. Can have a line put through April's Spring Cup reappearance, barely coming off the bridle having never had room to fully open up. Mark has eased a little more at least and he's lightly raced on all-weather.
Back In Black (IRE)
Quite lightly raced and has proven relatively consistent despite going winless since last April. Resumed with a solid fourth in Spring Cup at Newbury and backed that up with a respectable third at Lingfield (7.6f) in May. Brings a solid profile to the table and respected in first-time tongue strap.
Dosman
Built on promising start for new connections when a clear-cut winner at Southwell (1m) in February. Acquitted himself well in stronger company twice thereafter and quickly returns to all-weather having finished fifth at Ascot (1m) latest. Possibilities.
Mr Swivell
Did well last season, winning 3 times and ran right up to best when second at Ascot (1m) in September. Not at best in pair of starts on turf so far this year but returns to all-weather having eased in the weights.
Dingle (IRE)
As good as ever when successful over C&D in January. Failed to beat a rival in pair of turf handicaps at Ascot/York and this switch back to all-weather rates a definite positive for all he remains 3 lb above his last winning mark.
Christian David (IRE)
Bookended 2025 with victories at Newbury/Lingfield and put fitness edge to good use when third at Newmarket (1m) in April. Not in same form at Lingfield in May though, and others more persuasive back from 7 weeks off.
El Matador (IRE)
Twice a winner last year and, having been gelded thereafter, has resumed with a trio of placed efforts, running out of steam only late on when third at Ripon (1¼m, good) 4 weeks ago. Return to 1m in his favour on that evidence.
Clouds Hill (IRE)
All-weather winner last year who improved to make a successful reappearance at Yarmouth (1¼m) in April. Bettered that form when a very good third of 11 at Newbury (1¼m) next time and excuses on account of a quick turnaround at Redcar later in May. Could yet resume progress.
Regalian
Course winner who isn't totally straightforward but signed off his time for William Haggas with a sound third in a 1m handicap at Goodwood in October. Shaped as if better for the run when sixth on stable debut at Redcar 6 days ago but this another tough enough ask.
