Timeform View

BLUESTONE LADY showed improved form equipped with first-time blinkers when fourth on stable debut at Carlisle 10 days ago and a repeat may be enough to see her prevail in a race lacking depth. Mottaret may offer chief resistance, ahead of newcomers Brazilian Blitz and Black Fury.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Dakota Brave could be expected to race prominently. Of those in the front half of the betting forecast, Mottaret might be well positioned in a slowly run affair: Of the better-fancied horses, Black Fury is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Brazilian Blitz
Foaled April 3. £7,000 yearling, Pinatubo gelding. Closely related to 1¼m/10.4f winner Caligine. Dam 1m winner. Betting can prove a useful guide making racecourse bow.
Dakota Brave (IRE)
Sioux Nation colt who is related to several winners but he hasn't offered much short-term promise in pair of 6f novice events so far this season.
Mottaret
Bred to need time and distance and having showed a bit amidst clear greenness on debut at Redcar, he was unable to build on that when filling same spot at Leicester (7f) 17 days ago, gradually outpaced. Still, can't be ruled out in an ordinary affair.
Peggy's Lad (IRE)
Last of 15 in maiden (66/1) at Redcar (6f, good to firm) in May but he did show more when eighth in a Carlisle maiden (6f) 10 days ago. Longer trip now needs to bring about further progress.
Therewearethen (IRE)
Foaled March 18. €15,000 yearling, Gleneagles colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m Ajalo. Another best guided by the market on debut.
Black Fury (IRE)
Foaled April 10. Arizona filly. Half-sister to several winners, including winner up to 6f Royal Ashirah and 6f winner Portugueseprincess. Dam 6f winner. Yard 0-6 with 2-y-o debutantes to date this season but she still warrants market attention for clues.
Bluestone Lady (IRE)
Improved with blinkers added (retained) when fourth of 10 in 6f Carlisle maiden for new trainer Philip Makin 10 days ago. Should go well in this company if the headgear works a second time.
Bollin Marsha
Wells Farhh Go filly who is bred to need time and distance and she shaped accordingly when last of 8 on Beverley debut (7.4f) in May.
Floristic
Foaled February 28. 1,000 gns yearling, Space Traveller filly. Dam twice-raced half-sister to several useful winners, including 1m winner (likely to have stayed 1¼m) El Cap.
