Timeform View

In a race with plenty of pace it’s worth taking a chance on SLOT, who shaped well on her only previous start in a handicap and looks interesting on first try over the minimum trip. I'm Dan Dare makes obvious appeal on his York form, while Unexposed Record Day is another who could be suited by the run of race in a wide-open sprint.

Timeform Comments

Ice Cold Alex
Hasn't won since his debut at Pontefract last spring but things didn't pan out ideally on his latest start at Pontefract when well backed. He's better than he could show on that occasion and has been given a chance by the handicapper.
Koffee And Kale
Showed a good attitude when winning 5f novice at Leicester on final juvenile start but having placed on his first couple of starts this season, he was below form on return to Leicester (6f) last time and will need to improve significantly for first-time visor/switch to all-weather.
Yellow Diamonds (IRE)
Capped a progressive juvenile season with success at Musselburgh last October. She hasn't fully fired for new connections despite a couple of recent in-frame finishes at Haydock (33/1) and York (28/1) but worth a market check now dropped in grade.
Brave Traveller
Best effort since his sole nursery victory here when runner-up over C&D on penultimate start. Wasn't in the same form on turf at Thirsk last time, however, he may just be a better horse on the all-weather.
I'm Dan Dare
Made a winning stable debut at Catterick before confirming that improvement when a close second in a deeper race at York. That form has been given a notable boost (third won easily since) and he has to be high on the shortlist, for all he'll likely have plenty of company on the front end.
Record Day
Lightly-raced 3-y-o who ran his best race when close third at Thirsk (6f) last time despite meeting some early trouble. Isn't fully exposed and looks interesting with a strongly-run 5f probably in his favour.
Blue Nguru
Successful on sole previous start over 5f, scoring narrowly in a Lingfield novice last December, however, she's cut little in handicaps since and now tried in more severe headgear (visor) having finished tamely here (6f) latest.
Under The Radar (IRE)
Hasn't matched his winning juvenile form this season, though his latest sixth at York (behind I'm Dan Dare) is proving solid form and he cannot be discounted dropped in grade for all-weather debut.
Slot
Low-mileage filly who still looked rough around the edges when an improved fourth on handicap debut at Doncaster (6f) prior to finishing the same position in a Wetherby novice last time. Unexposed back in handicap company and with a strongly-run 5f expected to suit, she could run a big race.
Love Alive
Having got off the mark at Wolverhampton in February, she ran better than on her stable debut when third at Leicester last time and could be well positioned given the way this is likely to unfold.
The Tunguska Event (IRE)
Front runner whose 3 victories have come over 6f (twice at this track) and while he continued in fine heart with latest third at Doncaster, stall 1 doesn't look ideal on return to the minimum trip.
Bella Delizia
Justified support on nursery debut at Redcar last October and though probably still in need of the run at Windsor last time, she has something to find at the weights, regardless.
Contorno
Successful both previous starts over C&D, he shaped as though amiss at Nottingham in early-May and isn't ruled out if back on song following a short break (gelded).
