Timeform View

GLENMALURE FLYER has accumulated plenty of pointing experience since last seen under Rules and, having made a notable yard switch, is taken to make a winning start over fences. Slaney Opera is worth another chance following a breathing operation, while Dazzlelikethis could fare appreciably better back in this sphere having done well between the flags recently.

Timeform Comments

Slaney Opera (IRE)
Low-mileage 8-y-o who scored at Sedgefield in January for Ruth Jefferson. Has drawn a blank in 3 starts for new connections but has eased a little in the weights and is probably worth another chance on the back of a breathing operation.
Dazzlelikethis (IRE)
Made an underwhelming start to her chasing career back in the autumn but has done well in points recently, getting off the mark at the third attempt last month. Not ruled out.
Glenmalure Flyer (IRE)
Showed only modest form over hurdles in 2023/24 but has gained plenty of pointing experience since and opened her account in that sphere last month. Of obvious interest on chase debut for a quality yard.
Vinnie O'neil
Only one effort of note in his qualifying runs and has finished well beaten in a trio of handicap hurdles. Switches to fences over a much longer trip, though isn't obviously bred to make a chaser.
Friends Don't Ask
Unreliable type who had his run of placed efforts ended courtesy of one of his moody displays at Southwell last time. Bounce back required.
Est Illic (IRE)
Temperamental veteran who increasingly looks flattered by his Ludlow hunter third in April. First-time visor now reached for.
Henry Box Brown (IRE)
Losing run is mounting but he's capable from this mark if keeping mistakes to a minimum (unseated rider latest). Yard in decent nick.
Radharc Na Slaine (IRE)
Finally off the mark over fences at Stratford in September. Left with plenty to do when fourth of 6 at Newcastle (23f) 2 starts later and probably needed the run returning from 6 months off at Ffos Las last time. Has since had a breathing operation.
Rockvale (IRE)
Placed on all 3 outings in points and benefited from the drop back in trip when runner-up to a next-time-out winner in handicap chase at Uttoxeter (21f, good to soft) in May. Reported to have bled when folding tamely at Worcester since, though.
Shuile Warrior
Point winner (out of a dam from a smart staying family) but has achieved decidedly little under Rules to date, pulling up on chasing debut over C&D on most recent start.
