PASSENGERONTHESHIP notched his fourth consecutive win at Hexham at the weekend and makes most appeal under a penalty. Settle Down Jill should benefit from the drop back in trip and can pose the biggest threat, whilst Irish raider Justicialism is also interesting back over fences.

Timeform Comments

Settle Down Jill (IRE)
Novice hurdle winner for Dan Skelton and got off the mark over fences in 7-runner hunter at Kelso (23f, good) for Norman Sanderson last month, Again failed to really see her race out when third of 6 on yard debut at Perth (3m, good to soft) 19 days ago but ground/drop in trip will suit.
Passengerontheship (IRE)
Much improved since fitted with a tongue strap, completing a quick-fire Hexham 4-timer in a 5-runner handicap there (2½m, good) 5 days ago, again travelling and jumping with plenty of fluency. The one to beat under a penalty.
Back In The Bay (IRE)
Low mileage 7-y-o who showed improved form to notch a second hurdles success at Stratford last summer. Shaped as though amiss at Fakenham in October and again finished well held after 7 months off at Bangor (2½m, good) 34 days ago, so has bit to prove on chasing debut.
Justicialism (IRE)
Winless since 2022 but arrives on the back of 3 good runner-up efforts over hurdles, most recently in 14-runner handicap at Kilbeggan (19f, good to soft) 26 days ago. Didn't look a natural chaser when last tried in this sphere but very interesting for yard who have success on raids to Britain.
Aslukgoes
Struck at second time of asking over hurdles back from a long absence at Worcester last summer for Ben Brookhouse. Little promise in 2 handicaps at around 3m for this yard in the autumn, though took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Ffos Las (2½m) last month. Makes chasing debut.
Jack Sprat (IRE)
Runner-up over hurdles at Bangor in October. More miss than hit after and shaped as if needing the outing having gone off at long odds on yard debut last month. Didn't look the most natural of chasers when last seen in this sphere but yard has a great record at Cartmel, so worth a betting check.
