Timeform View

BINMALK is from an excellent family and left his debut form well behind when fourth at Doncaster 20 days ago, doing well under the circumstances having been slowly into stride. Open to further improvement, he's fancied to win this switched to all-weather. Leopards Rock showed promise on debut at Wolverhampton and should be sharper for that run, whilst Viper is going the right way after being narrowly denied at Pontefract.

Timeform Comments

Rake Lane
37,000 gns foal, 20,000 gns yearling. Bated Breath gelding. Hard to fancy on belated debut.
Real Trouper (IRE)
Some promise when third of 5 in a 1m novice at York last May, briefly matching strides with the first 2. Returns after a lengthy absence down in trip, though, so has plenty to prove.
Back At One (IRE)
Well-connected gelding but mid-field at best both starts to date and handicaps after another outing look more realistic for him.
Binmalk
Bred to be useful and left his debut form well behind when fourth of 11 in a novice at Doncaster 20 days ago, slowly away and having a tough task from his position. Makes his all-weather debut now and should be winning this granted similar progression.
Hawksworth (IRE)
Down field both starts to date and looks to be being brought along with handicaps in mind, so he's easily passed over on all-weather debut.
Heathers Feather (IRE)
Out of his depth when last of 4 in a novice over 1¼m at Redcar in April. Drop back to 7f looks more realistic on pedigree but hard to fancy all the same.
Jetpack Jimmy
Masar gelding newcomer out of a 1¾m mare and half-brother to a 1¼m winner. Bred for further than this 7f trip and will likely need more time.
Leopards Rock
Third of 6 behind a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton over 9f in May on debut. Not unduly punished and looks open to improvement on this second start so is one to consider for a place.
Shadow Road (IRE)
Lope De Vega gelding making debut for in-form yard. Likely to need much longer trips than this and betting may prove best guide to expectations.
Viper
Going the right way, finishing third of 10 in a novice here in May then second of 8 in a 6f maiden at Pontefract 35 days ago, making running until worn down final 100 yds. Should once again be in the mix back up in trip.
Lineofsuccession
Showed little in 2 starts, last of 11 at Doncaster 20 days ago when dived right leaving stalls. Easy to pass over on all-weather debut.
