Timeform View

COROLLA POINT has made a positive start for current yard, catching the eye with how he moved into the race when third at York last time, and he can build on that effort to resume winning ways. Air Force One could get the race run to suit here and is feared most, with last year's winner Paddy's Day also in the mix.

Timeform Comments

Al Shabab Storm
Group 3 winner for Andrew Balding in 2024 and still capable of smart form on occasion for Marco Botti last year. However, failed to come on for seasonal/stable debut when down the field in handicap at Thirsk last time. Tongue strap fitted.
Gaeli (ITY)
Stepped up on his form in Italy when making a winning start for this stable in a Southwell handicap in March. Not seen to best effect next 2 outings, but in first-time cheekpieces he was below form at Windsor 18 days ago. Regular blinkers go back on.
Purosangue
On long losing run but after leaving Andrew Balding he's shaped encouragingly both starts this season, beaten only by a trio of 4-y-os when fourth of 14 at Newbury (6f) 6 weeks ago. On a handy mark and could have more to offer for current yard.
Kylian (IRE)
Listed winner for Archie Watson last summer and ran up to his best on third start for this stable when third in a well-contested handicap at Leicester (6f) in April. Excuses next 2 outings but well held at Epsom 20 days ago. Blinkers back on.
Another Baar
Produced a career best when winning in Bahrain (5f) in January. Hasn't kicked on since then, though travelled well for a long way when sixth of 7 in handicap at Ripon (6f) 8 days ago. Drop back in trip should suit with visor reapplied.
Corolla Point (IRE)
Made a fine start for current yard (formerly with Charlie Appleby) last September when bagging a pair of handicaps at Haydock and Hamilton. Has shaped well both outings this season, third in 21-runner contest at York 6 weeks ago, and there could still be better to come.
The Man (IRE)
Much improved when landing 22-runner handicap at York (5f) on first of 3 starts last season. Good second at the same course next time but below form in 3 outings in Meydan early this year, sixth of 14 in 6f handicap when last seen in March.
Sir Yoshi (IRE)
Remains with only a maiden victory at Tipperary back in May 2024 but made the frame in listed race here last spring. However, he's yet to fire in 3 starts for current yard, ninth of 14 in handicap at Thirsk (6f) 26 days ago.
Air Force One (IRE)
Bounced back to winning ways at Beverley in April. Excuses next time, before running respectably when fifth of 16 at York last time, never nearer having been slowly away. Can make his presence felt with possibility of a strong pace to aim at.
Seven Questions (IRE)
Took advantage of reduced mark when getting up late at Goodwood (5f) last month. However, he failed to repeat that effort reverted to making the running when last of 7 at the same course (6f) 19 days ago,
Fidelius
Showed improved form during the all-weather campaign, winning 3 times with latest victory at Lingfield in March. Not disgraced back on turf when 2¼ lengths fifth of 6 at Bath in May, before possibly unsuited by the track at Goodwood last time.
Vantheman (IRE)
Who had excuses on first start with blinkers applied, bounced back to best when landing a Sunday Series handicap at Hamilton last month. Encouragingly backed that up when third of 17 at Thirsk 26 days ago and this dual C&D winner is capable of a bold bid.
Canon's House
4-timer winner last season and got back on the up when only narrowly denied at Beverley in May. Below form both starts since, well held in race won by Seven Questions at Goodwood 5 weeks ago but he's now only 1 lb above last winning mark.
Paddy's Day (IRE)
Enjoyed an excellent 2025, winning 6 times over this C&D including this race. Ended the campaign with success in December and has continued in good heart this year, soon leaving behind a rare lesser effort when runner-up at Doncaster 20 days ago. Respected back here.
