COOLAGH MAGIC comes with risks attached given his slow starts but he arrives having taken a step back in the right direction when fourth in a C&D handicap 2 weeks ago and may be up to capitalising on this drop in class. Fellow veteran Sir Rodneyredblood may emerge next best following a break, ahead of Valadero.

Veteran who arrives on a long losing run but took a step back in the right direction despite not having the race run to suit when fourth of 8 in a C&D handicap 2 weeks ago. Slow starts remain a cause for concern but he needs considering on first try in classified company.
Sir Rodneyredblood
C&D winner who resumed winning ways in some style at Chelmsford (6f) in January. Proved rather hit and miss thereafter, running no sort of race when last of 8 in a C&D handicap in April but player if bouncing back following a break.
Valadero (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who found only one too good on 3 occasions in handicaps last summer. Posted a creditable midfield effort at Kempton (6f) in December but absent following a couple of lesser displays in classified events at Lingfield in January.
Bear Steps (USA)
Offered little in a trio of novice events and fared no better in 2 handicaps on turf in recent months. Needs to find some improvement eased in grade.
Shining Guest (IRE)
Little promise shown in her 3 runs to date, last of 6 in a C&D maiden 59 days ago. Needs this switch to classified company to spark progress but that isn't out of the question.
Wondrous (IRE)
Offered little in 3 starts as a juvenile and no encouragement to glean from last month's reappearance/handicap debut effort at Ripon (1m). Eases in grade back down in trip but another who needs to find a good deal more.
