SPIORADALTA typically showed a good attitude when scoring at Ripon in May and, having had excuses next time, he is well worth another chance. He is taken to see off the challenge of 3-time course winner Wisper, with Majestic completing the shortlist.

Good second in handicap at Meydan in January but hasn't gone on from that effort since, making first start back in Britain when fifth of 12 at Carlisle last month. The drop in grade here could help, though.
King's Code
Successful 4 times during the all-weather campaign, with latest victory at Newcastle in January. However, he's been struggling for form of late, failing to beat a rival last 3 starts (back on turf the last twice).
Spioradalta
Likeable type who notched his seventh win in just over a year at Ripon in May. Ridden more patiently from his wide draw at York 15 days ago, so no surprise to see him bounce back with a bold bid here.
Majestic (IRE)
Showed that he's stll capable of useful form when fourth of 7 in handicap at Hamilton 6 weeks ago. Has eased further in the weights (4 lb below last winning mark) so he can make his presence felt.
Fireblade
Developed into a useful stayer last year (successful over 2m at Ascot) and shaped as if better for the run on return over an inadequate trip when fourth of 8 at Pontefract (1¼m) last month. Back up in distance but probably wants further still.
Wisper (IRE)
Has won here 3 times here, making a successful return in 7-runner handicap over C&D last month. Back up in grade but she could be thereabouts at this venue.
Pride Of Donegal (IRE)
Landed a pair of Wolverhampton handicaps before proving his effectiveness on turf at the first attempt when third of 5 at Thirsk in April. However, ran no sort of race when well held at Newmarket 6 weeks ago, so bounce back called for.
Thinthread
Fairly useful form when winning twice in France last season, his latest success in a Deauville handicap in August. Third of 7 in minor event at Lyon Parilly when last seen in October. Off 8 months (has been gelded) ahead of first run since leaving A. Fabre.
