ACT OF VIOLENCE has not been firing of late but has joined a yard that does well with new recruits and is taken to make much more impact dropped in grade. Some Nightmare, a 3-time C&D winner, rates a major threat with a fully-fledged rider back on board, while the free-going Dragon God also merits respect.

Modest form in recent handicaps, proving much too free when down the field on return for David Loughnane. Drops in grade now, though, and makes debut for stable going well and boasting a 21% strike rate in handicaps this season with new acquisitions.
Secret Handsheikh
Produced by far his best effort of the season back in 0-55 company when third at Brighton (6f) in May. Failed to back that up in stronger handicaps on last 2 starts and, while return to this level will suit, a bare 5f is likely to prove on the sharp side for him.
Dragon God
Headstrong type who has been placed twice in handicaps at Leicester and Windsor this spring. Not disgraced last time and a further 2 lb drop can only help his cause.
Some Nightmare (IRE)
Has a good record here and has dropped below last winning mark, though didn't help his chances by hanging left when 2¼ lengths fourth of 7 to Sonic Si at this track 12 days ago. Fully-fledged rider takes over from 7 lb claimer and blinkers replace usual cheekpieces.
Macarone
Dual 6f winner for Ivan Furtado last autumn but well held in turf handicaps at this course (2) and Bath in recent weeks upon joining this yard.
Captain Bentley
Caused a major shock when opening his account in classified event at this course last year but made no impact back in handicaps afterwards. Returns after 236 days off.
