Timeform View

CASINO STAR showed plenty of ability despite looking badly in need of the experience when chasing home subsequent Coventry Stakes third Royal Heritage at Hamilton 17 days ago. Pulling well clear of the remainder then and looking sure to improve, Karl Burke's charge rates a big player here. Irish raider Sirocco Sands, William Haggas' newcomer Mezzo Forte and Furturra head up the dangers.

Timeform Comments

Furturra
Being kept busy and found some progress of late, building on his exploits in selling company when running out a clear-cut winner of a Redcar novice (6f) under a positive ride 7 days ago. Commands respect despite conceding weight all round.
Aodhan
Caturra gelding who is bred to be sharp and he hinted at ability amid greenness when 13 lengths eighth behind Furturra in a Redcar novice (6f) 7 days ago. May build on that but this is a more demanding affair.
Bigalo
Son of Ardad who was gelded on the back of a low-key debut effort but he ultimately fared no better when ninth of 11 in a Ripon novice (6f) 9 days ago. Low-grade nurseries will prove more his thing moving forward.
Cagney (IRE)
Foaled April 10. €28,000 foal, £65,000 yearling, Earthlight colt. Half-brother to several winners, including 1¼m winner Amica Nostra and 1m winner Silberpfeil, both useful. Dam 7f/1m winner. Betting can prove a useful guide ahead of debut.
Casino Star (IRE)
Cotai Glory colt who produced a promising first effort amidst clear inexperience when chasing home subsequent Coventry Stakes third Royal Heritage in a Hamilton maiden (6f) 17 days ago. Pulled well clear of the remainder then and he looks sure to improve. Big player.
Mezzo Forte (IRE)
Foaled January 25. Wootton Bassett colt. Dam, 2-y-o 6f/7f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 1¼m Running Lion. Makes plenty of appeal on paper starting out for leading stable and he's very much one to note, particularly if strong in the betting.
Rbflying (IRE)
Related to several winner in North America but he hasn't offered much in finishing nearer last than first in a pair of 5f turf maidens in recent months. Looks the type for low-grade nurseries after this.
Sirocco Sands (IRE)
Persian Force colt who has made an encouraging start to his career, running to a similar level as on debut when 2 lengths fourth of 13 in a Curragh maiden (6f) 24 days ago. Interesting his good Irish yard pitch him in here and he certainly remains capable of better.
Sue's Last Chance (IRE)
Cotai Glory colt who was much shaper second time up and wasn't beaten at all far when fifth of 7 in a C&D maiden 2 weeks ago. That was a fair effort and feasible to think he could yet have more to offer.
Washington Royale
Foaled March 12. Washington Dc colt. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 7f-1m winner Jackpot Royale and winner up to 7f Sakhee's Return. Dam maiden.
Yorkshire Dream (IRE)
Space Traveller colt who was very green on his Redcar debut in May and he did no better with that experience behind him when seventh at Carlisle (5f) 18 days ago. Low-grade nurseries promise to be more his bag after this.
Spirit Of Mary
Little impact all 3 starts to date, merely plugging on when fourth in a Beverley claimer 31 days ago.
