SUN GODDESS sets a high standard after her excellent second in the Albany at Royal Ascot last week and she can provide her yard with a fifth straight win in this. It's probably best to forgive Controlla's run in the Windsor Castle so she rates the main threat with her debut form proving very strong.

Timeform Comments

Beibhinn (IRE)
Showed a really willing attitude when confirming debut promise in maiden at Listowel 4 weeks ago, edging out a subsequent winner with the pair clear. This is a big step up but she's open to further improvement.
Belle Of The Ball (IRE)
Showed plenty of dash over C&D on debut and much improved when making all in convincing fashion in Cork maiden. However, another leap forward required at this level with a hood fitted back up in trip.
Cleodolinda (IRE)
Had clearly learnt plenty from her debut when off the mark without too much fuss at Naas 3 weeks ago. Good deal to find stepping up from maiden company but step up in trip will suit.
Controlla (IRE)
Night of Thunder filly who ran a remarkable race pitched straight into pattern company when neck second to subsequent Queen Mary winner Victorious in Group 3 at Naas. Pulled too hard having been well backed in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot since and well worth another chance.
Green Empress (IRE)
€55,000 yearling, Saxon Warrior filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 1m winner Amberglen. Dam winner up to 1¼m (2-y-o 1m winner). Unfancied but showed plenty to work on when 5 lengths second of 9 to Sun Goddess in C&D maiden 5 weeks ago. Reopposing winner has since boosted the form.
Maggie Walker (IRE)
€6,500 yearling, King of Change filly. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to very smart 7.4f-1½m winner Fawkner Park. Rare juvenile winner for the yard in Cork maiden last month. However, that form is ordinary and is this a big ask.
Sun Goddess (IRE)
Confirmed debut promise with a dominant display in C&D maiden and caught only in the final 100 yds in the Albany at Royal Ascot last week. Sets a clear standard.
Velozee (IRE)
Sioux Nation filly who made it 2-2 in a 5f listed race here but limitations rather exposed in better company since (over 6 lengths behind Controlla in Group 3 at Naas on penultimate start), though she did make late headway in the Queen Mary as though well worth another try at this trip.
