Timeform View

STARBORN LEGEND showed why he fetched such a hefty price tag last year when a fast-finishing sixth on debut and he could well improve markedly. Tide of Fortune went close over an extended 6f here earlier in the month and he's also shortlisted alongside Trek Home and Solanna Beach.

Timeform Comments

Banshof (IRE)
Well-bred Hello Youmzain gelding who cost 260,000 gns as a yearling but failed to make it to the track for the Crisford stable and sold for just 2,500 gns in October. Showed a bit on belated debut at Dundalk (5f) last month and likely to be suited by step up to 6f.
Footstepstoglory (IRE)
Went close over hurdles at Limerick in October. Mid-field in 2 Flat maidens this spring and handicaps will likely be more his thing.
Forbidden (IRE)
Invincible Army filly who offered little when sixteenth of 18 in maiden at this course (6.3f, good, 100/1) on her belated debut 24 days ago.
Mountain Memory (IRE)
Nando Parrado gelding who has offered something to work on when mid-field in 2 maidens this spring but will likely be of more interest in handicaps.
Saint Acclaim (IRE)
St Mark's Basilica gelding. Half-brother to several winners, including useful 1m/8.5f winner Turf King and useful 2-y-o 7f winner Greatest Drama. Stable in good form. Wears hood. Worth betting check on debut.
Spinola Bear (IRE)
€28,000 yearling, Kodi Bear gelding. Dam 7f-1m winner out of smart winner up to 7.5f (including at 2 yrs) Lady Wingshot. Yard not associated with debut winners.
Starborn Legend (IRE)
Starspangledbanner colt who cost €330,000 as a 2-y-o and offered plenty when sixth of 18 in maiden at this course (6.3f, good, 11/2) on debut 24 days ago, finishing with running left having been forced to switch inside the final 1f. Leading player with that under his belt.
Suspicious Mindz
Placed in 3 maidens but pulled hard when disappointing seventh of 14 in maiden at Fairyhouse (7f, good) 22 days ago. Place claims if back to form with cheekpieces on but may prove vulnerable to less-exposed rivals.
Tide Of Fortune (IRE)
James Garfield gelding who was well backed and duly left his debut form behind when neck second of 18 in maiden at this course (6.3f, good, 7/2) 24 days ago. Open to further progress.
Trek Home (IRE)
Nando Parrado colt who stepped forward from his debut when fourth of 18 in maiden at this course (6.3f, good, 7/2) 24 days ago. Capable of better again.
Amerilis
Unlucky to bump into a well-treated rival when second of 18 in handicap (5/1) at this course (6.3f, good) 24 days ago and, while that rated as a career best, she'll need to find more again to feature on her return to maiden company.
Cara Teaghlaigh (IRE)
€5,500 yearling, Profitable filly. Dam unraced, half-sister to useful 1m winner Rockatella. Third of 10 in a barrier trial at Naas in May 2025. Makes little appeal on belated Rules debut.
Dandymaria (IRE)
Sharply-bred Dandy Man filly who kept on late when fourth of 14 in maiden at Down Royal (7f, good, 33/1) on debut 29 days ago. This will require a significant step forward.
Focaccia (IRE)
Kodiac filly who showed plenty of dash when second of 9 in maiden at Dundalk (5f) last month. Ran a moody race sent handicapping in first-time cheekpieces here 3 weeks ago, though.
Forza Magico
Aclaim filly. Sister to 3 winners, including 2-y-o 7f winner Forza Toro and winner up to 7f East Bank. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner. Far from an obvious debut winner.
Hazrama (IRE)
Just minor promise when tenth of 15 in 7f Naas maiden on sole 2-y-o start but, well bred and in good hands, it will be disappointing should she fail to leave that form behind in time.
Lady Moon (IRE)
Cotai Glory filly who attracted support at long odds but was given a considerate introduction when ninth of 18 in maiden at this course (6.3f, good, 12/1) 24 days ago. Should progress but hard to see her taking the step forward necessary to win this and fitting of a tongue strap is no positive.
Leannespour (IRE)
Behind in 2 maidens last September, the latter coming over C&D. Very hard to fancy after 9 months off.
Lilli's Angel (IRE)
Sioux Nation filly. Dam, 6f winner, half-sister to useful winner up to 11f Raphael Santi out of unraced half-sister to smart 12.4f/13f winner Motherland. Others preferred on debut.
Off We Go (IRE)
€7,500 yearling, Cotai Glory filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 7f winner Red Linn and winner up to 7f Muntjak. Cheap purchase doesn't strike as an obvious debut winner.
Solana Beach (IRE)
In the frame in maidens at Gowran (7f) and Naas (1m) this spring. Took a step forward when third of 8 on handicap debut at Gowran (7f, good to soft) earlier this month and she's considered back in maiden company.
