Timeform View

SUPIDO has returned to form in 2 starts this year, getting back to winning ways at Chester in May before a promising third at the same course, so he is taken to score again from what remains a workable mark. Bobby Bennu is much respected, though, back on all-weather, while Yorkshire could go well with his reappearance run behind him.

Timeform Comments

Room Service (IRE)
Good second in Group 3 at York last summer but below form remaining 3 starts of the campaign, again racing lazily in listed race at Redcar in October. Off 8 months (gelded) ahead of first run since leaving Kevin Ryan, with blinkers/tongue strap fitted for all-weather debut
Witch Hunter (FR)
Proved he's still capable of running to a smart level when successful over 1m here in January. Hasn't been in the same form since, though, down the field in Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot 10 days ago. Down to a career-low mark but others more persuasive at present.
Supido (FR)
Lost his way last year after a promising start for this yard but back to form with a bang when landing a Chester handicap on return. Backed that up when third at the same course later in May and remains on a workable mark based on old form. Major player.
Nikovo
Gained reward for good form on all-weather to start the year when scoring over this C&D in March. Has shaped encouragingly on turf last 3 starts, not ideally placed when fourth of 11 at Redcar (1m) 8 days ago, and he can give his running back on all-weather.
Yorkshire (IRE)
Last 3 wins on all-weather, with latest success at Kempton last spring. Continued in good heart in strong handicaps on turf remainder of 2025, before shaping as if needing the outing after 10 months off in Victoria Cup at Ascot in May. Enters calculations.
Rajeko (IRE)
Raced only 3 times in 2025 but creditable effort when runner-up in listed race at Lingfield on second occasion. However, he's finished down the field in 2 starts at Meydan this year, so has something to find as he returns to Britain after 4 months off (has been gelded).
Bobby Bennu (IRE)
Having dropped below last winning mark, shaped as if retaining all his ability after 7 months off when fourth of 11 at Chester in May, despite having been drawn widest. Yet to finish out of the top 3 in 4 starts on all-weather, so he could be thereabouts.
Korker (IRE)
Losing run continues to mount up and no better than mid-division in 4 starts this season, typically slowly away when sixth of 11 in handicap at Chester 28 days ago.
Tremolo
All 3 career victories on all-weather, recording back-to-back handicaps wins at Kempton and Southwell last year. Ran well when third of 14 at this course (1m) when last seen in August, so he's capable of getting involved if ready to go after 10 months off.
Metal Merchant (IRE)
Below form both starts in 2025 for Jack Channon and has fared no better in 2 outings this season for Brian Toomey, well held at Goodwood last month. Others more persuasive as he makes stable debut.
Sergeant Wilko (IRE)
Prolific as a 3-y-o and though he failed to score last season, he produced a more encouraging effort upped to this trip when headed only late on in 12-runner handicap won by Brighton Boy at Thirsk 6 weeks ago. On a reduced mark if building on latest effort.
Brighton Boy (IRE)
3-time winner for Andrew Balding and returned to his best for current yard when scoring at Thirsk last month. Has run well both starts since, sixth of 19 at York 2 weeks ago, but task is now to transfer that form to all-weather (ran poorly here only previous attempt).
Sir Albert (IRE)
Useful 3-time winner as a juvenile. Has matched that form this season without being able to find any improvement, 3¾ lengths eighth of 9 in handicap at Chester a fortnight ago. Remains lightly raced on all-weather, though, including a 6f novice success at this course.
Caviar Cowboy
Confirmed previous promise when making a winning handicap debut at Lingfield in April. Improved further in defeat when second in 13-runner handicap at Kempton last month, beating the rest decisively, and could still have more to offer even from 1 lb out of the weights here.
