Timeform View

ZUMBI took advantage of his reduced mark with a ready success over this C&D last month and he can score again if taking up this engagement. Conquer The Breeze is much respected, though, having won 3 of his 4 starts for current yard, while Cuzco du Mathan is interesting having dropped further in the weights.

Timeform Comments

Conquer The Breeze (IRE)
All 4 career wins at Hexham, successful on first 2 starts for this stable last month and quickly resuming ways with a 7-length success a week ago. Not taken lightly under a penalty in his current form.
Fort Randall (IRE)
Easily landed a gamble back from 15-month absence in handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f) in April and ran at least as well when third of 14 at the same course 6 weeks ago. Didn't offer much in 3 chase starts for previous yard but could fare better now handicapping in this sphere.
Ghasham (IRE)
Didn't kick on over hurdles for Dan Skelton last season but encouraging start over fences for current yard, runner-up in handicaps at Hexham and over this C&D (no match for Zumbi) in May. Landed the odds back at Hexham last time and he can give another good account.
Intenzo (FR)
Fair maiden hurdler who made a promising chasing debut when runner-up in handicap at Sedgefield in March. After a few disappointing efforts, got back on track when second of 5 at Market Rasen last time. Tongue strap now added.
Dream Jet (IRE)
All 3 chase wins at Hexham but below form there both starts this season, again going with little fluency when well held over 2½m on latest outing. Others more persuasive at present.
Blue Reed (FR)
Finally off the mark in 14-runner handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f) last month. Has had only the 4 chase starts, his best effort when fifth of 9 in this race last year, but task is now to transfer his latest effort over hurdles to fences.
Zumbi (GER)
Hurdles winner at this venue and opened chase account in 7-runner handicap over this C&D last month, scoring by 4¼ lengths from Ghasham. Remains on a workable mark based on old form so looks capable of winning again. Engaged 4.23 here Friday.
Bentley Road (IRE)
Maiden pointer who has shown only modest form in chases, in hunter chases on first 3 outings. Finished closer than previously when second of 6 on handicap debut at Hexham 15 days ago, though there wasn't much depth to the race. More required with cheekpieces back on.
Cuzco Du Mathan (FR)
Dual C&D winner in 2024. Struggled for form last summer but there were better signs when fourth in a well-contested race at Carlisle in March, before possibly in need of the outing when down the field here last month. Lurks on a dangerous mark so he's one to note.
Dexter (FR)
In good heart over fences last year, scoring over this C&D in August. Probably needed the run after 6 months off when well-beaten fourth of 7 at Bangor 5 weeks ago, so no surprise to see him closer to form back at this venue.
Clean Getaway (IRE)
Capitalised on a drop in the weights when successful over fences at Sedgefield in April. Bounced back from a lesser effort over hurdles when third of 9¾ lengths third of 7 to Zumbi over this C&D last time, though he didn't find much under pressure.
