Winless since completing a Flat hat-trick in May 2024, though emerged with credit in defeat on a couple of occasions last season. Ran better than for a while, in first-time visor, when fifth in Bath handicap over longer trip earlier this month and is 1 lb lower now. Respected.
Captain Brett (IRE)
Back to winning ways when taking 3-runner handicap at Yarmouth (1¾m, good to firm) 9 days ago, suited by way race developed. Not the most reliable but couldn't rule out follow-up victory.
Jack Langley
Back from 12 weeks off when when creditable third of 12 in handicap at Ripon (1½m, good to firm) on debut for new yard 9 days ago. Entitled to build on that and can race off same mark here.
