A tricky puzzle but recent C&D winner GREY SOUL could be the answer if handling the ground. It's typically worth noting when Billy Loughnane rides for Tony Carroll and they combine with Port Erin.

Timeform Comments

Grey Soul (IRE)
Resumed progress in first-time cheekpieces when pushed out to score in a C&D handicap (soft) on latest start. He's now 2-2 in headgear and can win again if handling contrasting ground.
Bold Impact (IRE)
Looked well worth another go at this trip when keeping-on third at Chepstow (7f) last time. That's reasonably solid form and he benefits from a drop in grade here.
Orchard (FR)
Unlucky not to finish closer when a length third behind Grey Soul over C&D on reappearance (goes well fresh), but he was a winner second time out last season.
Pulsar Star
Chased home a subsequent winner in a similar event at Nottingham (1m, good to soft) in April but 7f under quicker conditions probably wasn't his bag at Doncaster last time.
Port Erin (IRE)
Course winner (1-1) who notched a third handicap success of the year in this grade at Sandown last summer. Interesting that Billy Loughnane takes over following a quiet start to the season.
Port Louis (IRE)
Runner-up in lower-grade Doncaster handicap on sole turf start for current yard. May have been marking time on the all-weather since and cheekpieces go back for return to turf.
