Timeform View

Given the strength of his recent Leicester form, CAPTAIN CAIRNEY may just have the edge over Worlington. Ataturk could be a lively each-way prospect in an open-looking finale.

Timeform Comments

Calypso Bloom
Well held in a trio of all-weather events to date. Back up in trip for her handicap/turf debut and at least warrants a market check with David Egan taking over.
Beaune (IRE)
Better horse on the all-weather (0-10 on turf) and looked out of sorts in a couple of starts last month.
Buck Barrow
Landed a second soft-ground victory here when successful in C&D classified event last time. Isn't the obvious type to follow up back in a handicap under contrasting conditions, though.
Captain Cairney
Front runner went close to doubling his tally on return at Leicester (1¼m). That form is proving solid, and he's entitled to make another bold bid.
Home Secretary
Type his yard usually excels with. Well held on handicap debut/reappearance at Windsor, however, this is a significant drop in class.
Ataturk
From an excellent staying family. Handicaps likely to have been the target (cut little ice in novice/maiden events) and is expected to make more impact now up in trip.
Worlington
Hit the frame all 3 handicap starts to date. Strikes as the type who'll benefit from first-time cheekpieces (tongue strap also added) and is entitled to be in the mix for excellent connections.
Ibn Sirin
Gelded since showing plenty of inexperience in 1m novice/maiden races last year. Type to benefit from switch to handicap/longer trip, and he ought to do better on return.
