GREAT SUCCESS has fewer convictions than most of these and is given a chance to build on a more encouraging run at Carlisle. Ideal Guest briefly looked in control here last time and is a likely threat if ridden a touch more conservatively this time. Kyber Crystal is also feasibly handicapped back at the scene of her latest win.

Ended 2025 out of form. Returned with an encouraging second of 7 over 6f at Nottingham in April but has failed to build on it twice since. Visor worn last time is left off.
Ideal Guest (FR)
Without a win since final outing in 2023 but he has shaped well on 2 of his 3 outings this year, doing too much too soon (briefly clear entering straight) when fourth of 11 over C&D 8 days ago. Considered.
Great Success
First sign of promise in handicaps when 2 lengths fifth of 8 at Carlisle (6f, good) 14 days ago, nearest finish. That gives him something to build on. Gets the vote.
Kyber Crystal (IRE)
C&D winner last autumn. Below par since reappearance third in April but is well treated again if a return to Pontefract sparks a revival.
Full Gas (IRE)
Some improvement when hitting the frame at Newcastle/Haydock this spring. Raced freely back up to 7f at Redcar since so probably best forgiven that. Cheekpieces worn last twice are left off.
Superstorm
Modest maiden. Runner-up in 7f Kempton handicap in April but below that level on turf twice since. Needs a drop back to 6f to help spark a revival.
Lady Bouquet
Below the mark she defied at Wolverhampton last December and latest 5f course fourth of 7 was respectable. Not discounted under Warren Fentiman.
Ganthorpe
Took advantage of easing mark when opening account in 9-runner handicap at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) last month but only seventh of 10 at Redcar since.
