Timeform View

ASHIKITA was returning form a long absence when making an encouraging debut for her new yard at the Curragh earlier this month and is fancied to open her account here. Black Heather and Steel Cut can also make their presence felt.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Ashikita traded at a low of 15.00 and Betfair SP of 214.39 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Black Heather (IRE)
Pulled up over hurdles when last seen 12 months ago but posted promising third in maiden at Bellewstown on sole start on Flat earlier last year and remains with potential.
Coolnagrattan (IRE)
Respectable fourth of 13 in bumper at Punchestown (2m, good to soft) on NH debut 48 days ago but will likely need plenty more to be involved on Flat bow here.
Cracking Cloud
Showed something like his debut form when sixth of 15 in maiden over shorter trip at Gowran earlier this month. Others hold more potential, though.
Double Indian
Indian Haven colt. Half-brother to numerous winners on Flat, including 7.4f-1¼m winner Jawaayiz, but he could hardly have shown less when well beaten in a Kilbeggan bumper in late April.
Elman (IRE)
Failed to complete for third time over hurdles at Limerick in March and hasn't done enough in this sphere to make him of interest here.
It's Good To Talk (IRE)
Fair form in bumpers but well held in 2 Flat maidens.
Lauro's Legend (IRE)
Largely disappointed over hurdles but wasn't disgraced when midfield in maiden over longer trip at Leopardstown on Flat debut 12 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Likely one for handicaps down the line.
Quint Major (IRE)
Bumper winner/fair maiden hurdler who offered some encouragement when sixth on Flat debut at Leopardstown this time last year. Below that level at Thurles in October, however, and not seen for 7 months.
Seti One (USA)
Fair form at best but ran poorly last 2 starts for W. McCreery and has plenty to prove on return for new connections.
Steel Cut (IRE)
Left his debut form behind when runner-up in a Dundalk maiden on reappearance. Not in same form at Down Royal since but must enter calculations here.
Ashikita (FR)
Promising sort. Back from long absence when good fifth of 9 in maiden at the Curragh (1½m, good) on debut for new yard 27 days ago. Entitled to build on that and holds strong claims.
Boujee (IRE)
Well beaten sole start on Flat and arrives on back of poor effort over hurdles.
Catherine Magennis (IRE)
Appeals on pedigree and shaped as if better for the run when seventh of 17 in maiden over shorter trip at Gowran on debut 82 days ago. May need more time.
Grennanstown Lady (IRE)
Shown little over hurdles and always behind in 2 Flat starts this season, latest when seventh in Gowran maiden earlier this month.
Sioux Grit (IRE)
Remains a maiden after 17 Flat runs and faces a stiff task back from long absence here.
Taj Crown (IRE)
Ran poorly in testing ground at Limerick latest but had found improvement when runner-up in maiden at same course previously. Could well bounce back here.
