Timeform View

TANAKA improved a chunk when defying a basement mark at Beverley last week and can follow up off 1 lb higher at the main expense of handicap debut winner My Mate Mackley, who looked unsuited by very testing conditions at Lingfield last time.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

This could develop into a sprint for home, and Tanaka could be well placed to capitalise: Of the better-fancied horses, Forever Glamorous is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Runamara (IRE)
First meaningful impact in handicaps when second at Kempton in April but has struggled since. Bit to prove.
Forever Glamorous
Maiden but has looked an improved model for new yard, again going close when third of 5 at Chepstow last month. Shaped as if still in form at Bath last time and first-time headgear may help.
Kodi K (IRE)
Kodi Bear gelding who made much more of an impact when second of 4 at Lingfield (5f, good to firm) on handicap debut 12 days ago, though it was a thin race.
Magnificent Mel (IRE)
Inconsistent maiden though probably best to forgive latest run and best performance came at this trip on turf in the spring.
My Mate Mackley
Proved a totally different proposition after being gelded and switched to handicap company when dead-heating at Chepstow in May. Not in same form at Lingfield next time but ground was very testing that day. Worth another chance with headgear applied.
Follow My Heart
Hasn't shown much in 5 starts.
Tanaka (IRE)
Showed a first glimmer of something at Ripon 2 weeks ago and built on that when narrow winner at Beverley the following week. Big chance off just 1 lb higher.
