WILLOWINGHURN has dropped to 7 lb below the mark she defied over C&D last autumn and might be worth chancing in first-time cheekpieces. Sanditon arrives in good form and is second choice ahead of Monhammer.

Timeform Comments

Rajstar (IRE)
Off the mark in 6f handicap at Newcastle in February. Below that level twice since but may have needed the run after 4 months off when last of 7 at Ripon 12 days ago. Back up in trip.
Classy Clarets (IRE)
Headstrong sort who thrived on a busy schedule this spring, winning at Wolverhampton and Hamilton and placed on 4 other occasions. Respectable fifth of 8 at Catterick (7f, firm) 8 days ago, going off too hard
Defence Missile (IRE)
Ended last season with a couple of poor efforts and fared no better back from an absence at Ayr 11 days ago.
Sanditon (IRE)
Belatedly off the mark at Chelmsford in February and doubled his tally in ready fashion when dropped into classified company at Wolverhampton (7f) at the start of this month. Good third of 8 in handicap at Catterick (7f, firm) 8 days ago, nearest finish. Considered.
Coconut Bay
Twelve runs since last win in 2025. Creditable third at Ayr last month but well beaten twice since.
Ramon Di Loria (IRE)
C&D winner. Added 2 Wolverhampton wins in February but not at best back on turf the last twice.
Due Respect (IRE)
Sole success came at Redcar (7f, good) last July. One of best runs since when fourth of 9 over C&D (good to firm) 8 days ago. NON RUNNER.
Cotai Starlight (IRE)
Modest form at best in her 3 qualifying runs but more realistic chance now handicapping after a break (has had a breathing operation). Worth a look in the betting.
Willowinghurn
C&D winner on soft last October. Failed to build on an encouraging run at Redcar when well beaten at Doncaster 16 days ago but is on a good mark if first-time cheekpieces spark a revival.
Monhammer
C&D winner. Eighteen runs since last win in 2024 but he shaped quite well when third of 8 in classified event at Ayr (7f, good to soft) 10 days ago. Enters calculations.
