  2. Hasita (IRE)

  3. Queen Aethelflaed (IRE)

Timeform View

A huge field in which cases can be made for several. The vote goes to JASMINE AFFANALIS, who went very close to doubling her tally at Killarney in May and can have her subsequent Limerick effort easily ignored. First-time cheekpieces go on and she can get the better of Hasita, who is less exposed than most and could show much more now handicapping. Queen Aethelflaed, Elly Bay and Rodeeve complete the shortlist.

Sagasti traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Bear Right has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Carrigans Grove (IRE)
Much improved last season, winning 3 times with latest success at the Curragh in August. Yet to hit those heights of last year, but no surprise if more severe headgear sparks a revival.
Little Miss P (IRE)
Promise in maidens last summer but tailed off both starts in handicaps this season, though easy to excuse her latest Roscommon effort (raced wide). Drops down to 7f and a first-time visor is applied.
Queen Aethelflaed (IRE)
Confirmed she's back to her best when winning at Gowran last month and shaped better than the bare result under a 7-lb penalty when fourth of 14 at Leopardstown (9f, good to firm) just under a fortnight ago, doing too much too soon. Worth bearing in mind back at 7f from her revised mark.
Are You In Or Out (IRE)
Enhanced her good record fresh when making a winning stable debut on reappearance over 6f here in May, proving at least as good as ever. Went backwards from that at Leopardstown since though, so needs to get back on track.
Famed Again (IRE)
0-10 but she recorded a respectable seventh of 15 in handicap at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft) on her return just over 6 weeks ago. Needs to build on it.
Hasita (IRE)
Promise in maidens, matching previous form when third of 14 at Down Royal (7f, good) last month. Potential improver now handicapping.
Minaun View
Still a maiden after 18 starts, though wasted no time getting back to form when second of 9 at Down Royal (7f, soft) 12 days ago. Each-way claims from the same mark.
Rodeeve
Put up an improved effort to get off the mark in 15-runner event at this course (6f, good to soft) just under 3 weeks ago, doing well to pull away as she did given that she only got in the clear late on. Back up in trip and remains of interest despite a 12 lb rise.
Sagasti (IRE)
Ran well on form but didn't look the most straightforward of rides when third of 12 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good to soft) just under 3 weeks ago. No surprise to see a first-time visor applied.
Jasmine Affanalis (IRE)
Won over 9f at Tipperary last summer and has been shaping up well in recent months, just edged out at Killarney in May. Shaped much better than the distance beaten suggested at Limerick last month and remains one to be interested in.
Mo Anam Chara (IRE)
Didn't need to improve to get off the mark in 10-runner claiming maiden at Roscommon (7.4f, good to soft) just over 6 weeks ago, capitalising on a better position than her slow-starting market rival. Can kick on back in a handicap now up and running.
Two And Two (IRE)
Scored second time up at Dundalk in January and seemed to cope fine with the drop down to the minimum trip when fourth of 6 in handicap at Down Royal 12 days ago. Back up in trip.
Caitouna (IRE)
Fair form in a trio of 1m maidens. Unsurprisingly seemed unsuited by the drop in trip when ninth of 18 on handicap debut at the Curragh (6.3f, good) 4 weeks ago and tries 7f for the first time. Booking of Colin Keane catches the eye.
Wild Berries (IRE)
Fair form in maidens/novices up to 7f last season but was below that level switched to a nursery when ninth of 16 at Naas (1m, soft) in September. Might have needed the run at the Curragh last month and this should reveal more.
Elly Bay (IRE)
Fair juvenile maiden for Johnny Murtagh. Got right back on track after a very low-key start to the season when second of 13 over C&D (good) just under 5 weeks ago and first-time cheekpieces may eke out that bit extra.
Imnotleavinyou (IRE)
Resumed progress when off the mark in decent style at Limerick last month but possibly found the race coming too soon just 2 days on at Gowran (7f, good to soft) next time. Worth another chance.
Bear Right (IRE)
Matched previous form when fourth of 12 at Cork (1m, good) last month. Back down to 7f but looks more or less exposed now.
Casla's Eagle (IRE)
Left previous efforts behind when fourth of 12 in maiden at Gowran (7f, good to soft) 8 weeks ago. Looks the type to do better in handicaps so she may well have a part to play.
Bundle Of Interest (IRE)
Opened account in handicap at Navan last summer. Returned to that level when a close third at Gowran in October but might have needed the run after 6 months off at Naas in May. RESERVE.
Altimara (IRE)
Dual 7f Leopardstown winner last August. Little to shout about both starts this year so needs to get back on track. RESERVE.
Dervo Annie (IRE)
Justified support to open her account here (6f) last month, getting away with the drop back in trip. Not in the same form returned to 1m at Down Royal 12 days ago but it remains early days. RESERVE.
