Timeform View

With Neptune Legend's participation in considerable doubt (declared at Windsor on Monday), this is best left to SOUTHBANK, who again wasn't seen to best effect when runner-up at Lingfield last month and Chris Gordon's charge can go one better having dropped back to his last winning mark. Last year's winner Sisters In The Sky and stablemate Symbol of Hope can fight out minor honours.

Timeform Comments

Neptune Legend (IRE)
Back-to-back winner in May but just a fair fifth in a better race at Windsor on Monday.
Ten Club (IRE)
Scored at Lingfield in November but badly out of sorts since, including when last seen at Wolverhampton (7f) 5 months ago. Plenty to prove on return.
Hidden Verse (IRE)
Successful twice last season, including over C&D. Back on track to a certain extent when fifth over C&D in May but failed by long way to back that up at Chepstow since. Hopes pinned on first time blinkers.
Fancy Dancer
3-time winner up to 6f for Ollie Sangster last season (including over C&D) but has regressed for her new yard, a first-time tongue tie making little difference when seventh of 9 at Nottingham (6f, good to soft) 4 weeks ago.
Southbank (IRE)
C&D winner last spring who is knocking at the door this season, again not seen to best effect when second of 7 at Lingfield (6f) last month. Now down to his last winning mark and should be in the mix again.
Sisters In The Sky
Landed this race last year and back to winning ways over 6f at Wolverhampton in January. Unable to get involved dropped back to bare 5f for first time this year when ninth of 14 at this course (5f, good) 18 days ago so this slightly longer trip should be in his favour.
Symbol Of Hope
3-time C&D winner who fared better than of late having rejoined former yard when third in 9-runner classified contest over C&D last month. Not in same form reverted to handicap company here since (lost shoe) and losing run is closing in on 2 years.
She Went Whoosh (IRE)
Best effort for a while when runner-up over C&D in May but has followed that up with 3 poor runs in classified company, most recently over 7f at Brighton 10 days ago.
