Timeform View

Forecast firm ground is a slight concern but CAMPEONA strikes as a typical Sir Mark Prescott improver now handicapping over a markedly longer trip so she earns the vote over We Ride At Dawn, who left her recent stable debut effort behind when finishing runner-up at Windsor recently and she can build on that here. Barak Warrior has been gelded since last seen so he rounds off the shortlist switched to a handicap.

Timeform Comments

Pivotal Days
Fair handicapper on the Flat for Ed Walker, his only win over 7f at Haydock back in October 2024. No impact under both codes for new connections, tailed off in Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot recently. Back down in trip.
Sea Of Charm (FR)
Made a positive start to the year but last 3 efforts suggest she's gone off the boil. Blinkers quickly reapplied.
Offiah's Boy
Multiple winner on Flat last year but little encouragement to glean under both codes since, most recently at Chepstow after 5 months off.
Lakota Chief (IRE)
Showed ability when fourth in maiden/novice at Newcastle (swished tail) but always behind when last seen at Lingfield in March. Markedly upped in trip for his handicap debut and better showing anticipated.
We Ride At Dawn
Progressed with each of her 3 runs in 2025 for Dominic Ffrench Davis and left recent stable debut effort behind when second of 10 in handicap at Windsor (1¼m, good to firm) last month, suited by increase in trip. Every chance she will be in the shake up.
Barak Warrior (IRE)
Hasn't show much in 3 quick-fire qualifying runs but no surprise should he have more to offer now handicapping after a bit of a break (gelded in interim).
Campeona
Bred for longer trips and has shaped in kind in her 3 qualifying runs over winter, seventh of 12 in novice at Wolverhampton (8.6f) when last seen 6 months ago. Ground a slight concern but open to considerable progress now handicapping over a markedly longer trip.
