Timeform View

INDIAN RUN is winless since landing the Acomb as a juvenile but his recent Windsor second was highly encouraging and he makes most appeal having been raised just 1 lb. Novello Lad is highly respected on his hat-trick bid, whilst Juan Les Pins hasn't put a foot wrong in the recent months and also makes plenty of appeal.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Westmorian has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Deep Havana
NON RUNNER.
Veblen Good (IRE)
A fairly useful 5f winner for Karl Burke. Changed hands for 32,000 gns and made a winning start for new yard in 6-runner handicap at Pontefract (6f) in April, though helped by being held up in strongly-run race. Not in same form at Epsom (7f) since and needs more from this mark.
Novello Lad
Produced a career best when landing 12-runner handicap at Doncaster (6f) in May and showed better form again when following up from an 8 lb higher mark at that same C&D 26 days ago, holding on gamely from a rival seeking a 5-timer. A further 4 lb rise demands more again but can't be dismissed.
Strong Warrior
Won first 2 starts but failed to kick on last season having been highly tried. Produced his most promising effort for a while when third of 7 in handicap at Ripon (6f, good to firm) 13 days ago, benefiting from the step back up in trip. Others still preferred despite mark easing again.
Indian Run (IRE)
Without a win since landing the Acomb at York in 2023 but turned in his best effort of the season when second of 12 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Expected to be bang there from just 1 lb higher.
Lord Roxby (IRE)
Back to best when winning a 20-runner handicap at York (6f) in May and backed that up with a creditable fourth in a 21-runner event at that same C&D 18 days ago. Solid place claims.
American Style
Added to good record fresh when a close third of 16 at Ripon (6f) on reappearance. Had little chance from his high draw at York subsequently but fewer excuses when 12½ lengths twelfth of 13 to Novello Lad in handicap (7/1) at Doncaster (6f, firm) 26 days ago, so needs to bounce back.
Westmorian
Completed hat-trick at Lingfield last spring but lost his form after, refusing to race on final start of 2025. Possibly still needed the outing when seventh of 21 in handicap at York (6f, good to firm, 40/1) 18 days ago, though was better placed than most and others still have more solid claims.
Bergerac (IRE)
Won at Hamilton last June but made little impact in big-field handicaps on last 2 starts that year. Looked rusty when well held at York on return and was never involved from a poor position there last time. Given a chance by the handicapper but needs to prove he retains all of his ability.
Juan Les Pins
In fine form this spring and notched a second win of the campaign in a 15-runner event at C&D in April. Has added a new layer of consistency to his game of late and again ran a cracker when second of 18 at Ascot (6f, good to firm) at the start of May. Has to be considered again.
Mister Sox
A 4-time winner last year and showed the benefit of reappearance when second of 9 at C&D in May. Slowly away but shaped as if back in form after a couple of lesser efforts when third of 6 at Pontefract (6f, good) 10 days ago, nearest at the finish. Frame claims at best.
