Timeform View

AL MUQDAD was denied by the narrowest of margins at Doncaster last time and can go one place better with the good-value Conor Whiteley aboard. King of War should prove a real threat if taking up this engagement, with Rory's Gold also considered on the back of a career best.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Al Muqdad traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: We've Got This traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Tattie Bogle
Gained reward for several good efforts when narrow winner at Musselburgh in April and doubled his tally for the year when coming from further back than the placed pair to win a 6-runner handicap at Beverley (7.4f) last week. Respected under a penalty.
Farandaway (IRE)
Consistent in handicaps this year but stepped up even on those efforts when finally off the mark in 6f Newcastle in March and posted another good effort back in handicap company when runner-up in a 8-runner race at Southwell (6f) a month later. Enters calculations.
War Howl (IRE)
Recorded back-to-back wins last summer for Michael Appleby and, though he's finished soundly beaten on each start for this yard, he hinted that he's not a completely lost cause when tenth of 14 at Wetherby (7f, firm) 27 days ago, passing the post with running left. Needs to build on that.
Al Muqdad
Is on a handy mark and arrives after back-to-back placed efforts, going down by just a nose when second of 7 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, firm, 9/2) on the second of them 5 days ago. Expected to be bang there with good-value claimer now taking the ride.
In A Hurry
C&D maiden winner last summer and placed in handicaps next 2 outings. Ended 2025 on a low-key note (became prone to weak finishes) and finished down the field on first 2 outings this year, though back on track tongue tied when second of 7 in handicap at Catterick (7f, firm) 9 days ago.
Avatar Jet (IRE)
Has made a bright start for his current yard, scoring at Southwell (1m) in April and following it with good in-frame efforts at that same C&D and at Ripon (1m), albeit with the run of the race second time. Should give another good account but others appeal as better treated.
Vince Le Prince
Runner-up at Catterick on final start in 2025 and resumed this season by filling the same position there on his first 2 outings. A little bit below his best when third of 6 there (7f, good to soft) 20 days ago but place claims once again.
Men Of Honour (IRE)
Ended his time with Andrew Slattery with a good fourth of 16 on handicap debut at Gowran (7f) in October and shaped a bit better than previously for current yard when a never-nearer sixth of 9 in at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 11 days ago. Interesting if market speaks favourably back up in trip.
King Of War
Successful twice over 7f at Brighton last autumn and, with his reappearance under his belt, dominated 4 rivals over that same C&D last week. 4 lb penalty to carry but he stays this far and will make appeal if taking up this engagement. Engaged 3.13 Brighton Tuesday.
Way To Dubai (IRE)
Ended a long losing run at Lingfield in January but form away from that track has never been as positive and he was soundly beaten at Newmarket 12 days ago,
Singoura
Quirky sort who went close at Redcar in May but again blew the start at Carlisle next time and was below form despite breaking on terms for a change when sixth at Doncaster (7f) 25 days ago. Has the ability to score from this kind of mark but hard to recommend as a betting proposition.
We've Got This (IRE)
Proved consistent for this yard last season, opening her account in a 7f Redcar handicap in the summer but yet to really scale the same heights this campaign, albeit probably doing too much too soon at Carlisle 3 weeks ago.
Imperial Guard (IRE)
Yet to win a handicap and tumbled a long way in the weights as a result but little promise to be taken from either start this year, including in first-time visor last time (now discarded). Steps back up to 7f with plenty to prove.
Rory's Gold (IRE)
Low-mileage 4-y-o who arrives in good nick for his new stable, proving as good as ever when second of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Ayr (1m, soft) 12 days ago. Hard to rule out despite rise in class.
