BACHARACH has a long way to go if he's to live up to his pedigree but, fitted wth a tongue tie, took a big step forward when second at Ballinrobe a month ago. He's marginally preferred to Caislean Gear, though market support for newcomer Frisco Lad would put a different slant on things.

€200,000 3-y-o, Nathaniel gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart hurdle winner/top-class chaser Santini and fairly useful hurdler Rockpoint. Didn't shape that well on debut but, fitted with a tongue tie, showed up much better when second of 11 at Ballinrobe a month ago. Likely type.
Caislean Gear (IRE)
Galileo Chrome gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to useful bumper winner/fairly useful 19f hurdle winner Old McDonald. Promising start when second of 7 on debut at Roscommon 3 weeks ago and that form puts him right in the mix.
Frisco Lad (IRE)
Fourth foal, dam, showed nothing over hurdles, closely related to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 21f) Offaly and useful bumper winner Blencathra Bay. Newcomer for excellent yard so of serious interest if vibes are positive.
Mountain Sky
Dubawi gelding. Dam, 10.3f winner on Flat, sister to fairly useful hurdle winner around 2m Vancouverite. Didn't achieve a great deal on debut at Killarney in May but wasn't seen to best effect in fairness. This will reveal more with a tongue tie fitted.
River Cartwright (IRE)
€16,000 3-y-o, seventh foal. half-brother to bumper winner/fair 23f hurdle winner Chance The Robin. Dam, unraced, closely related to high-class chaser (stayed 3¼m) Snoopy Loopy and useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stayed 3m) Sam Adams. Likely to need further but he's in capable hands.

Blue Bresil gelding. Half-brother to modest chaser Hollywood Harmon. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stayed 25f) Bob Lingo. Bred for stamina but offered plenty to work on when third at Ballinrobe a month ago (behind Bacharach). Will know more this time.

Brother to poor hurdler Parish Star (2½m winner) and half-brother to a winner on Flat. Dam, lightly raced on Flat, half-sister to useful hurdler (2m-2½m winner) Via Galilei.
Maggies Yard (IRE)
Half-sister to fair chaser Henschke (21f-3¼m winner) and modest hurdler Reserve Judgement (23f-25f winner). Dam unraced half-sister to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser who became unreliable (stayed 3¼m) Letbeso.
The President (IRE)
Walk In The Park filly. Dam (c151/h159) 2m-25f hurdle/chase winner, also 14.5f winner on Flat. Easy to back given illustrious dam and minor promise only starting out at Listowel a month ago. In the right hands to build on that.
