Timeform View

The 3-y-os look the ones to concentrate on and this could provide an ideal opportunity for WADACRE GEISHA to finally open her account after some promising efforts. The biggest dangers could come from Mohmentous and Phanton Shadow, who are both stepping up in trip.

Timeform Comments

Pay Attention
Left reappearance run behind when second at Newbury in May before shaping as if still in form after blowing the start at Newmarket the following month. Has the visor left off today and unlikely to find this panning out to suit his come-from-behind style.
Crimson Road (IRE)
Dual 1¼m winner for the Crisfords but hasn't shown much in a pair of 1m handicaps for new connections and now drops further in grade.
Spec Of Light
Runner-up from a 2 Ib higher mark at Southwell in February but has failed to repeat that since, racing keenly on his last 2 occasions. Steps back down markedly in trip and now returns to the turf.
Beauty Generation (IRE)
Isn't one for maximum faith but produced a couple of creditable efforts back in the spring at Wolverhampton and Leicester. Failed to pick up once in the clear when fifth at the latter course when last seen in May. Can be overlooked for win purposes.
Rugby Union (USA)
Showed more than previously sent handicapping for new yard (trained by Jamie Osborne first 3 starts) when fifth of 10 at Wetherby (1¼m, good to firm) 17 days ago. Didn't see his race out fully, however, so has stamina to prove.
Mohmentous
Showed much improved form switched to turf when an easy winner at Bath in April and progressed further when defying a penalty at Redcar the following week. Only second in 3-runner race at former course in May but latest success worked out well quite well and he remains of interest.
Talking In Kode
Hasn't improved since the switch to handicaps, showing some quirks when fifth of 8 at Leicester (1m, good) 19 days ago on the second of 2 tries. Needs to improve for the step up in trip and/or first-time cheekpieces.
Phantom Shadow (FR)
Good second at Bath (1m) in May but unable to match that form on both outings since, in first-time tongue strap second one. Makes each-way appeal if handling the step up in trip.
Wadacre Geisha
Lightly-raced filly who's made a promising start handicapping on the whole, well backed when second of 6 in handicap at Beverley (1¼m, good to firm) 9 days ago. Her recent form has been well advertised and she's expected to be bang in the mix.
