GOLD STAR GAZING shaped well when third over C&D in his 2 starts last year, so with his reappearance run behind him he could be ready to get off the mark back up in trip at this venue. Korbut also promises to be suited by a return to 7f and is feared most, ahead of One of The Boys.

Timeform Comments

Brave New World (IRE)
Looks to have been brought along gradually in his 2 starts to date, no better than mid-division when seventh of 11 in novice at Doncaster 26 days ago. Needs another run for a handicap mark.
Conspiracist (FR)
Made appeal on pedigree but didn't offer much encouragement first time up when sixth of 10 in novice over this C&D 5 weeks ago. However, yard's runners can often take a big step forward from their debut, so he's one to note.
Gold Star Gazing (IRE)
Promise when third over this C&D both starts last year. Ran to a similar level after 6 months off (had a breathing operation) when third of 9 in novice at Southwell in April, despite seeming unsuited by the drop to 6f. Gelded since and he's a major player.
Le Samourai (IRE)
Half-brother to several winners, including the high-class Romantic Warrior in Hong Kong. Sent off favourite on debut but looked in need of the experience when well held in novice at Salisbury (7f, heavy) 23 days ago. Capable of better with tongue strap added.
One Of The Boys (IRE)
Offered something to work on making his debut when second of 10 in maiden at Lingfield in November, best of the rest behind an impressive winner. Could be in the mix on his return (has been gelded) with improvement to come.
Yazoo
Was very green on debut when last of 8 in 6f novice at Yarmouth 3 weeks ago, losing lengths at the start. Hood quickly reached for.
Cortado Girl
Well held at Lingfield (7f) on debut and, after 10 months off, fared little better with hood applied when seventh of 8 in novice at the same course (6f) 2 weeks ago.
Korbut
Runner-up twice from 4 starts in novices so far, only narrowly denied in 8-runner contest at Catterick 3 weeks ago despite the drop to 6f looking against her. Respected returned to further and kept in novice company.
Lady Fizz
In hood for first start, was very slowly away and finished well held in maiden at Newmarket (1m) in April. Headgear discarded as she has first run since leaving Des Donovan.
