Willie Mullins' ECLIPSE CHASER shaped well when third on his chasing debut here and with this drop back in trip also a plus he gets the vote. Useful hurdler Duke Silver brings plenty of potential to this sphere and could emerge as the main danger, although fellow chasing debutant Cinammon Roll and the returning Donnie Devito also need factoring into this intriguing beginners chase.

Timeform Comments

Cinammon Roll (FR)
Fairly useful bumper/dual hurdle winner last summer. Given time since a below-par run in Gowran handicap hurdle last autumn. A winning pointer so much respected now going over fences.
Coyote Spirit (IRE)
Fairly useful 2m winner over hurdles. Made mistakes when a never-dangerous sixth of 12 in novice chase at Kilbeggan (2½m, good) on debut over fences 18 days ago. Needs to take a big step forward.
Donnie Devito (IRE)
Fairly useful 21f winner over hurdles. Yet to score but similar form sent chasing last season, third of 8 in novice chase at Thurles (2¼m) in November. Must enter calculations on his return.
Duke Silver (IRE)
Useful hurdler who scored at Leopardstown in December. Posted a good third of 24 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (23f) in April. Highly respected now going chasing.
Eclipse Chaser (IRE)
Won maiden hurdle at Navan last September. Ended last season out of sorts but made a promising chasing debut with third of 6 in novice here (23f) in May, jumping well and not knocked about when fading from last. Capable of a fair bit better, especially at this shorter trip. Big shout.
Fillyoureye (IRE)
Won 23f Punchestown maiden hurdle in February but too free in a pair of good handicaps after. In the process of running well on his first go over fences when stumbling and unseating rider 12th in novice at Punchestown last month. A likely player.
Jackson Lamb (IRE)
Won a Bellewstown maiden hurdle and novice at Kelso last season. Off 7 months before being pulled up in novice chase at Kilbeggan (2½m) on debut over fences 33 days ago.
Mickie Angel (IRE)
A fairly useful 2m4f winner over hurdles. Similar form in this sphere, posting a solid sixth of 11 in handicap chase at Naas (2½m) in January. Needs to hit the ground running after a layoff.
Pinot Gris (IRE)
Useful hurdler who wasn't disgraced when sixteenth in County Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. Jumped tentatively both tries over fences though, fourth of 9 in 2m novice at Clonmel in April. More required after a break.
Silent Selector (IRE)
Fair hurdler. Failed to build on earlier promise when eighth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Cork (19f) in May. Fencing debutant.
Wing Back (IRE)
Won a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick in August. Never a threat when thirteenth of 18 in similar event at Thurles (2m) when last seen 8 months ago. Returns for his chase debut.
