Timeform View

NOUVOTIC goes well at this track, arrives on a steep upward curve and ought to take plenty of beating if finding further progress. Stablemate Antrim Coast rates the biggest danger if fully wound up, with Rexem and Itsalladream both respected.

Timeform Comments

Harry Des Ongrais (FR)
Very useful chaser shaped better than the result in Grade 3 handicap at Leopardstown in February but then failed to meet expectations off lower mark back over hurdles 21 days later. Subsequently sold for 28,000gns and makes debut for new yard.
Nouvotic (FR)
Progressive chaser who has won 3 of his last 4 starts, namely twice at this course and at Punchestown when last seen in April, beating Conyers Hill by 10 lengths. Still unexposed and looks sure to make another bold bid.
Ma Jacks Hill (IRE)
Won completed start in points and stepped up on chasing debut when winning 5-runner novice at Punchestown last month by ¾ length from Jolie Jewel. This is much more competitive but may still have more to offer after just 2 outings in this sphere.
Watch The Weather
Won a pair of handicap chases in 2024 and turned in best effort since when second in 2½m handicap hurdle at Killarney in May. Lost touch after hefty mistake in Mayo National at Ballinrobe 14 days later, though, extending his unplaced run over fences to 5 outings.
Antrim Coast (IRE)
Runner-up 3 times in maiden/handicap chases last summer, including a very competitive Galway handicap off only 1 lb higher. Ran only respectably when only 5¼ lengths fifth of 10 to El Champo in handicap at Listowel on debut for this yard in September. Claims if ready to go after 9 months off.
Itsalladream (IRE)
Fairly useful chaser who won novice at Roscommon last summer but has largely faced stiff tasks since, including both starts this season. Yard back among the winners as he makes his handicap chase debut and no surprise were he to fare better.
Bridie's Beau (IRE)
Chase winner at Clonmel in December and went close at Navan 2 weeks later, but has been largely disappointing since, including when pulled up in handicap at Kilbeggan last time.
Rexem (IRE)
Capitalised on a good opportunity to land a Clonmel claiming hurdle last season. Solid efforts in defeat next 3 outings (including over fences) before a couple of poor efforts but hinted at a revival when 15 lengths seventh of 12 to Ad Caelum at Kilbeggan last time. On a handy mark.
Lisleigh Lad (IRE)
In good form of late, finishing in the frame on 5 of his last 6 starts, though stiff task and flattered by proximity when 3 lengths fourth of 6 to Jesse Evans in minor event chase at Listowel on latest. This is more realistic.
Clonshire River (IRE)
Winner in chase at Limerick in May and good efforts when runner-up last 3 starts, chasing home Sayitfirst at Sligo in 6-runner 17.5f event on latest. Should give his running but still 5 lb above last winning mark.
Kings Jet (IRE)
Surprise winner on Rules debut at Down Royal in May but disappointing in hunter chases since and has a fair bit to find now tackling a handicap in this sphere. Races from 1 lb out of the weights.
Vina Ardanza (IRE)
Fairly useful chase winner for Gordon Elliott in 2023 but no great shakes in hunter/handicap chases for this yard last summer and unseated early on return in May. Races from 1 lb out of the handicap.
