ELEGANT ERIN took a step back in the right direction at Nottingham last time and there's a good chance she can build on that returned to a venue where she has a very healthy 5-9 record. I'm Next is another who has shown a liking for this track and is feared most ahead of Tiva, who is closely matched with the selection on Nottingham form.

Timeform Comments

I'm Next
Built on promise of reappearance when scoring readily over C&D (good to firm) in April. Back to winning ways when making all at Redcar (5f, good) 13 days ago. Seen to good effect against the favoured far rail but a 5 lb rise still leaves him on a workable mark.
Elegant Erin (IRE)
Five-time C&D winner who ran her best race of 2026 when third of 6 at Nottingham (5f, good) 13 days ago, with the reopposing Tiva narrowly behind in fourth. Well handicapped again back at venue which suits.
Emperor Spirit (IRE)
Not the most consistent but he added to his good record fresh when second of 17 in handicap at Ascot (5f, good to firm) 36 days ago. Soft ground and a poor draw provide excuses for a lesser run in the Epsom Dash since.
Master Of My Fate (IRE)
Twice successful on the all-weather this year but has found life harder back on turf more recently. Being eased another 2 lb can only help but others arrive with more pressing claims.
Tiva (IRE)
Good second of 6 at Hamilton (5f, firm) in May and has shaped as if still in form at Musselburgh and Nottingham since. The return to a stiff 5f promises to suit this filly. Regular visor is left off and replaced by first-time cheekpieces. Player.
Duran (IRE)
Thirteen runs since his last win in 2025 and he came in only sixteenth of 21 in handicap at York (6f) 20 days ago. Needs a first-time visor to help spark a revival.
Mon Na Slieve (IRE)
Twice a winner last season and was only just denied at Newcastle in March. Bounced back from a below-par run at Thirsk when third of 8 at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) but his rather mixed record this year means he is no good thing to back it up. Tongue strap back on.
Hundred Caps
Won twice over C&D last year and added to this ally at Southwell in January. Respectable fifth back here in May and possible excuses when below par at Carlisle since.
Managing Director (IRE)
Showed improved form when making all in 8-runner nursery at Thirsk (5f, good to firm) in September 2024 but well held on soft ground at York 5 weeks later and not seen since. Has left Bryan Smart. The betting is perhaps the best guide after such a long absence. Has been gelded.
