A few of these arrive with a question mark against them so this looks an excellent opportunity for HATAMOTO to build on his solid Ripon second and get off the mark. Mali Star could emerge as the main danger starting out for Ruth Carr back over his optimum trip, with Singarda another who could play a prominent role if the fitting of cheekpieces ekes out some improvement.

Still to score but he advanced his form with second of 8 in handicap at Ripon (1m) 15 days ago, setting a solid gallop and keeping on gamely. Weighted to go one better nudged up 1 lb.
Amber Hamur (IRE)
Maiden who has failed to kick on sent handicapping at Kempton and Wolverhampton this season for George Boughey. Needs this yard switch to spark progress on her turf debut. One to note in the betting.
Ten Sixty Six (IRE)
Placed first 3 starts last year but has offered little in a trio of handicaps this season. Others appeal more.
Itszaboy
No better than modest form in 3 novice events during the autumn and has offered little in a pair of 1m/7f handicaps at Redcar this season.
Mali Star (IRE)
Remains winless and was tried in cheekpieces when fading into eighth of 13 in handicap at Bath (1¼m) 28 days ago on his final run for Jack Channon. Could bounce back for new handler reverted to a shorter trip.
Eva The Deeva
Well held in a trio of maiden/novice events and only seventh of 9 on her handicap debut at Ripon (1m) 36 days ago. Needs to take a major step forward.
Regal Knight
Is 0-7 and tried in cheekpieces when a below-form fourth of 8 in handicap at Ripon (1m) 15 days ago, albeit sitting closer to the strong pace than most. Blinkers are reached for now.
