Timeform View

Not a strong novice by any means and this looks a good opportunity for FRACTIONAL to open her account having been too free in first-time headgear at Nottingham last month. The cheekpieces are left off here and she can get the better of Name The Day, who made a promising debut but needs to leave a lesser effort behind since. Vastern looks an interesting newcomer for rookie trainer Adam Kirby and market support should be noted.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Fractional traded at a low of 1.89 and Betfair SP of 4.09 when losing last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Deadline (FR)
Kameko gelding who showed a bit but knew what was required when sixth of 11 in novice (66/1) at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) on debut last month, leading until over 1f out.
Far From Fern
Far Above gelding. Dam 5.7f winner out of useful 5f-7f winner Crimson Fern.
Flagraiser
Flag of Honour gelding. Dam third at 5f at 2 yrs.
The Golden Snitch (IRE)
Promising fourth of 12 in novice at Doncaster (7f, good to soft) on debut in March but well beaten on both subsequent starts. Will likely come into his own when tackling low-grade handicaps.
Vastern
3,000 gns 3-y-o, Wootton Bassett gelding. Dam placed at 6f-8.5f (including at 2 yrs) from family of Oaks/Irish Oaks winner Enable. Worth a market check with the booking of Murphy catching the eye.
Fractional
Frankel filly who showed a fair level of ability in maidens over 7f/1m last autumn. Out of her depth in listed race at Newbury on return and proved too free in first-time cheekpieces/hooded when second of 3 in novice at Nottingham (1m) just over 3 weeks ago. Obvious claims here.
Name The Day
Promise when fourth of 10 in novice at Windsor (6f, good to firm) on debut but went backwards from that effort when tailed off at Southwell (6f) just over a fortnight ago. Remains very early days.
