REDBUD SIXTEEN has proved a different proposition upped in trip, making it back-to-back wins when forging clear at Newbury 10 days ago, and she can continue her progress to score again. A pair of handicap debutants are feared most, Bintknight the pick for second ahead of Be Patient.

Timeform Comments

Prince Of The Seas (IRE)
Contested a couple of Derby trials for Ralph Beckett last year before going on to win a 1½m Goodwood handicap in the summer. Had been working his way back to form this season, before reverting to racing freely when down the field at York 20 days ago. Drops back in trip.
Footwork
Resumed winning ways upped to 9f at Ayr in May and backed that up when a close second of 7 at Lingfield 10 days later. Stamina on dam's side of pedigree so he can give another good account over this extra furlong.
Serenity Blue
Recorded back-to-back 1¼m novice victories at the start of last summer. Creditable return to action when third in a 1½m Kempton handicap in April, but has gone backwards from that effort in 2 subsequent outings. Cheekpieces reached for.
Military Air
Useful performer up to 1½m for H-F. Devin in France. However, little promise in 3 starts for present stable this season, again dropping away quickly at Catterick (1¾m) 22 days ago.
Redbud Sixteen (IRE)
Much improved up in trip last 2 starts, easily getting off the mark at Salisbury (1¼m) last month before following up with a 6-length success at Newbury (11f) 10 days ago. Leading contender with more still to offer over middle distances.
Eupator (FR)
Struck twice at Wolverhampton (over 9.5f on second occasion) in January and has made the frame 3 times since, including when runner-up over 1m at Carlisle in May (the winner scored again next time). Never recovered after a slow start at Goodwood last time, so he could bounce back.
Colourband (IRE)
Off the mark in good style in a Bath novice on return but hasn't built on that in 2 handicaps since, shaping as if amiss next time before not looking entirely straightforward (again raced freely) when fourth of 9 at Chester 3 weeks ago. Well bred but needs to get back on track.
Be Patient
In need of the experience making debut in October and left that form behind when winning 10-runner novice at Newcastle (1m) the following month, responding well to lead late on. Absent since, but this longer trip promises to suit as he goes handicapping.
Bintknight
Showed the benefit of her debut run when winning 4-runner maiden at Lingfield in May, pulling clear with the odds-on favourite. Bred to be useful so she merits consideration with further improvement to come.
