Timeform View

ETERNAL SUNSHINE goes well at this track and now looks well treated after a promising effort last time. She's fancied to get back to winning ways. Saffron Dandy has won both her starts at 5f, including at Goodwood last month, and can go well again, while Chicory is going the right way and will be running on at the finish.

Timeform Comments

Eternal Sunshine
Thrived in August/September last year, winning the Portland Handicap at this track, and her recent fourth of 14 at Ayr 13 days ago was much more like it from an easing mark. Now drops back to 5f with hood removed and is one to take very seriously.
Alpine Girl (IRE)
Won this last year and bounced back to form when successful over 5f at Pontefract in April. Not at best back up to 6f when last seen, however, and needs to quickly get back on track.
Chicory
Needed her return in April and improved when second of 7 in a handicap at Nottingham in May. She didn't look entirely suited by the drop to this trip on that occasion, but the third has won since, and she needs plenty of respect given her unexposed profile.
Saffron Dandy (IRE)
Produced a career-best effort when winning with the run of the race on heavy going at Goodwood last time, taking her record over 5f to 2-2. Has to merit respect, even though this will likely prove more competitive.
Cressida Wildes
Scored at Wolverhampton in February but well beaten since so hard to fancy despite easing mark.
Alondra
Probably better on all-weather but fourth of 8 in a handicap here last week after an awkward start offers some hope. Not seen to best effect in her 2 runs prior either, so could be in the mix for a place granted more luck.
Space Bear (IRE)
Amiss when last of 9 at Ripon in May but bounced back when second of 11 at Thirsk 17 days ago, typically racing freely but keeping on and beaten a nose. Looks well enough treated if controlling that free-going trait.
Dragon Spin
Twice a winner against her own age-group recently, but found things tougher up against older horses in between. 4 lb higher mark to contend with here so might again prove vulnerable.
