PRESS THE BUTTON made a promising start over hurdles at Ballinrobe and can land this maiden hurdle with improvement on the way. Highland Realm should make his mark in this sphere for Willie Mullins, while Wackestone and Hopeful Hero are both in the mix also.

Timeform Comments

Laxxio
3-time Flat winner in Germany and ran his best race over hurdles when third in C&D novice in April. This is a bit tougher and he'll make more appeal in handicaps.
Loyal Touch (IRE)
Fair Flat winner these days (sixth at Limerick last month). Down the field in 2 maiden hurdles in May.
Press The Button (IRE)
Bumper winner who shaped with promise sent hurdling after 5 months off when second at Ballinrobe (2m) and can progress. Big shout in first-time cheekpieces.
Whats New (IRE)
Finished in the frame twice in maiden hurdles in the spring. Caught up in an early melee and ran out through no fault of his own at Clonmel 4 weeks ago having been well backed.
Pepper Noir (IRE)
Fair Flat performer these days. Well beaten on completed start over hurdles for Gavin Cromwell at the turn of 2024/25.
Allroadsleadtorome
Little impact in bumpers and 2 maiden hurdles.
Highland Realm (IRE)
Highland Reel gelding from the family of high-class hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 21f) Wicklow Brave. 2/5, showed plenty and just failed on debut in Tramore bumper last summer, pulling clear of the rest. Seems sure to make his mark over hurdles.
Hopeful Hero (IRE)
Made the frame once again over hurdles back from 7 months off when third at Sligo in a first-time hood. Leaves the impression there is a bigger performance in him in this sphere.
Million Dollar Man (IRE)
Showed a bit first time up over hurdles at Clonmel in May but never a threat and well beaten at Punchestown subsequently.
Paymelater (IRE)
Placed only once in an extended stint in bumpers and made little impact on hurdles debut at Downpatrick 3 weeks ago.
Kasper Hauser
Has had plenty of racing over hurdles, running well when second (Laxxio third) over C&D in April. Spoiled chance with mistakes in Kilbeggan handicap last time. Others preferred here.
Matcho D'agrostis (FR)
No form over hurdles (completed for first time at Punchestown 28 days ago).
The Flying Rambler (IRE)
Bred to stay well and looked one for the longer term in bumper here fitted with hood 11 weeks ago.
Wackestone (IRE)
Made an encouraging start in juvenile maiden hurdles initially but not so good last 2 runs 3 months apart, struggling from stiff-looking mark on handicap debut at Fairyhouse at Easter. In the mix if bouncing back to his best form.
Double Order (IRE)
Well held in bumpers, again pulling hard at Wexford 5 weeks ago.
Getaway Tobin (IRE)
Getaway half-sister to smart hurdler/top-class chaser Monkfish. Has shown a bit in bumpers and might need further now hurdling.
G N Jefferson
Dead-heated for third on the second of 2 starts in points. Offered little despite being sent off at just 7/1 in Aintree bumper for Jack Teal 7 weeks ago. RESERVE.
Willows Word (IRE)
Poet's Word filly. Dam French 1½m/13f winner. RESERVE.
Sunny Dude (IRE)
Modest maiden on the Flat and well beaten on hurdles debut at Ballinrobe after 6 months off. RESERVE.
