Timeform View

FIVER FRIDAY wasn’t at her best when last seen on the Flat but boasts a positive profile in this sphere and looks the pick of her yard’s strong hand in this race. Stablemates Come On The Lads and Stuntman Steve are both interesting off their current marks, while Becasse is also respected. The progressive Paul’s Dream would hold solid claims if getting a run also.

Timeform Comments

Becasse (IRE)
Won 11-runner juvenile hurdle at Fontainebleau in October 2024 and has shaped well on all 3 starts for current yard, collared only close home when ½-length second of 8 to Spy in handicap at Listowel last month. Up 2 lb but sure to give another good account.
Fiver Friday (IRE)
Followed up impressive Flat success fortnight earlier when landing 10-runner mares handicap over C&D in April. Twice-raced on Flat since, taking first backward step for current yard on latest run but retains a positive hurdling profile.
Ifiwerearichman (IRE)
Dual hurdles winner who quickly made up into a useful chaser. Has been lightly raced since 2024/25, but shaped as if retaining all ability back over hurdles when 4¼ lengths third of 7 to Sageborough in minor event at Wexford in May. Potentially well treated back in a handicap.
Barbizon (IRE)
Quickly reached useful level on the Flat for John Murphy and made a smooth transition to hurdling for Gordon Elliott when winning juvenile at Navan. Found out in graded races at Leopardstown after and was well beaten in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham on handicap bow. Up against it.
Encanto Bruno (IRE)
One-time useful hurdler who's lightly raced of late but took a step back in the right direction when 14¾ lengths sixth of 12 to Ad Caelum at Kilbeggan last month.
Putapoundinthejar (IRE)
Resumed winning ways on Flat at Bellewstown (11.4f) in April and has posted solid efforts on his last 2 starts over hurdles, 3¾ lengths third of 8 to Spy at Listowel on latest.
Spy
Proved at least as good as ever when winning 8-runner handicap at Listowel last month, coming from rear to beat Becasse by ½ length. 4 lb rise for that success is offset by the booking of good-value 5 lb conditional, though has struggled for consistency in the past.
Autumn Twist (IRE)
Won twice over hurdles and once on the Flat between last summer, including over C&D. Not disgraced when 13 lengths sixth of 21 to Kalix Delabarriere in listed handicap at Punchestown in April but below best on Flat of late and likely needs respite from the handicapper.
Lisnamult Lad (IRE)
Ended 2024/25 with a fine second in the Topham at the Aintree Grand National Meeting. Not in the same form since (broke blood vessel in May) and ran no sort of race back over hurdles at Kilbeggan last month. Looks one with problems.
Red Glory (IRE)
Fairly useful hurdler who ran creditably when 6 lengths fifth of 10 to Malbay Madness at Downpatrick on last month's return but looks firmly in the handicapper's grip at present.
Come On The Lads (IRE)
Got back on the up over hurdles when winning at the Galway Festival last summer and bettered previous chasing form when winning in good style at Limerick. Bad mistake 4 out last time and whilst well held on Flat latest, he reverts to hurdling off a handy mark.
Malbay Madness (IRE)
Multiple Kilbeggan winner who produced a career best when winning 10-runner handicap at Downpatrick by 4 lengths from Bridgehead last month. Up 7 lb now though and will need to step up markedly if he's to land a hat-trick.
Missus Beeton (IRE)
Has been revitalised by the addition of cheekpieces this season, winning mares handicaps at Down Royal in January and at Leopardstown in March. Didn't shape badly upped markedly in grade at Fairyhouse last time but current mark demands improvement.
Thisistheway (IRE)
Consistent mare who was typically in the process of giving her running when falling 3 out in listed handicap at Punchestown in May. Likely to run well without winning.
Stuntman Steve (IRE)
Hasn't matched his fairly useful winning hurdles form in 7 starts over fences, though can have a line put through last 2 efforts. Reverts to hurdling from 1 lb lower mark than when runner-up in this race last summer.
Playtime
Won 16-runner maiden at Leopardstown (2m) in March, quickening to lead approaching last. Creditable efforts when placed in handicap at Tramore and novice at Punchestown on last 2 starts
Paul's Dream (IRE)
Resumed progress when winning 9-runner mares handicap at Ballinrobe in May. 6 lb rise not excessive and high on the shortlist should he get a run. RESERVE.
Fast Felix (IRE)
Dual winner in 2025/26 who ran up to best when fourth of 10 to Ragman's Corner in handicap at Killarney on return. Raced on unfavoured inside and effort best excused last time. RESERVE.
Minella Post
Shaped as if needing run when well-held fourteenth of 24 to Jacovec Cavern at Punchestown in April on return from 15-month absence. Wears first-time tongue strap. RESERVE.
