ARCTIC STEPS gained a first success for her current yard over C&D on her penultimate start and is taken to resume winning ways as she returns to this grade. The main danger could be Jordan Breeze, who has had excuses both starts since scoring at Cork, ahead of Bold Optimist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Ardadslosttheplot traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 4 starts: White Smoke has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Arctic Steps (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise for current yard this season when winning over C&D in May, scoring by ½ from Nouvel Espoir. Found things tougher upped in grade at Dundalk last time, but no surprise to see her bounce back at this level.
Harry's Hill
Yet to fire in handicaps this season, racing from out of the weights when tenth of 16 at the Curragh 6 days ago. Drops back in grade (is a C&D winner) but others more persuasive at present.
Lethimfly (IRE)
Showed plenty of ability remains when a good second on return at Dundalk in March. Hasn't matched that level either start since, but he's been given a chance by the handicapper if refitting of blinkers has a positive effect.
Sovereign Cry (IRE)
Ended 2025 with a novice success at Dundalk but hasn't kicked on in handicaps this season, well held at Fairyhouse (6f) 22 days ago.
White Smoke (IRE)
Runner-up twice in 6f maidens at the Curragh last season but well beaten in cheekpieces both starts this year, including on handicap debut at this course in May. Blinkers now the choice of headgear with tongue tie added. Engaged 7.10 Bellewstown Friday.
Bold Optimist (IRE)
Shaped well when third at Dundalk in February on return. Excuses next time, before going without cheekpieces when below-par fourth of 10 at the same course on latest outing. One to note from his reduced mark with the headgear back on.
Nouvel Espoir (IRE)
Took advantage of easing mark when winning 8-runner handicap at Down Royal 15 days ago, albeit suited by way the race developed. Arrives in good heart, though back up 6 lb in the weights and yet to win off a mark this high.
Ardadslosttheplot (IRE)
Stepped forward from debut effort when third in 7f maiden at Down Royal in September. Failed to repeat that in 2 subsequent outings, though, eleventh of 12 in nursery at Cork (6f) later the same month. Has something to find after 9 months off.
Cactus (IRE)
Made the frame in 24-runner maiden at the Curragh (6f) on reappearance. However, she's gone backwards from that effort in 2 starts since, failing to beat a rival at Cork (5f) 20 days ago. Needs to get back on track returned to handicap company.
Jordan Breeze (IRE)
Doubled his tally at Cork in May. Hasn't been seen to best effect both starts since, racing closer to pace than ideal when 6¼ lengths sixth of 8 to Nouvel Espoir at Down Royal 15 days ago. Worth another chance to build on his Cork success.
Billboa
Rattled off a hat-trick on the all-weather in 2023/24 but has struggled for form since, no better than mid-division in 3 starts at Dundalk this year. Cheekpieces left off with tongue strap now added.
Tawaazon (IRE)
Winner over 6f here last spring but form has been mixed this season, following a good second over this C&D last month with a lesser run at Fairyhouse (6f) 3 days ago. Is down to a handy mark if on a going day back here.
Phil's Dream (IRE)
Doubled his tally with success in minor event at Wolverhampton in March. Making a rare start on turf, shaped as if still in good form when 4 lengths eighth of 16 to Arctic Steps in handicap over this C&D in May on latest outing.
