The Andrew Balding-trained pair Hard To Believe and Mythical Bay head the opposition in an intriguing event.

Well-bred Palace Pier colt who made it 2 wins from 3 starts in handicap company in first-time cheekpieces at Chester (1½m) in May. Faced a vastly different task when down the field in Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot (1¾m) since and probably vulnerable to better-treated rivals.
Arc Ole Ole
Progressive sort who found another good chunk of improvement for step up to 1½m when seeing off 13 rivals in a handicap at the York Dante meeting. Fared best of those held up in a competitive handicap at Royal Ascot (1½m, good to firm) 16 days ago and very much the type to go on improving.
Amora Queen (GER)
Won her first 2 starts in 2025 and returned with a good second in 1¼m handicap at Doncaster but has finished well held all 3 outings since. Needs to get back on track.
Mythical Bay (IRE)
Showed a good attitude to get off the mark in 5-runner Wolverhampton novice (9.5f) in January and has continued his good work since switched to handicaps, resuming winning ways at Newbury (1½m) last time. Longer trip likely to be within range and remains of interest up 7 lb.
Lopeo (IRE)
Goodwood maiden winner in the mud in 2025 who coped fine with the still longer trip when finding only one too good again in 6-runner handicap (6/1) at Doncaster (14.5f, good to firm) 28 days ago. Should remain competitive.
Hard To Believe (IRE)
Resumed his progress with something up his sleeve when taking his record to 3 wins from 5 starts in 6-runner handicap at this course (1½m, good to firm) 15 days ago, kept up to work. Likely to stay 1¾m and can go on improving.
Heroics
