Timeform View

It's hard to get away from RAJAKING given the strength of his C&D form last summer, with his latest fourth at Windsor also working out well. Zubaru is firmly on the up, and he's feared most, with Emperor's Son and Yes I'm Mali others to note in a competitive handicap for the grade.

Timeform Comments

Zubaru
Strong-travelling sort. Readily resumed winning ways back on a straight track at Doncaster (6f) last time. Contests a similar grade despite a 6 lb rise, and he's expected to go close in a race that should be run to suit.
Jonny Concrete (IRE)
Enthusiastic front runner who has returned at the top of his game. Perhaps a tad revved up by first-time blinkers when fourth (split a pair of next-time out winners) at York in late-May. Usual cheekpieces return, however, he could help set this up for the closers.
Golden Long (AUS)
Hong Kong recruit. Too strong for subsequent winner when successful at Windsor penultimate start. Probably found softer conditions against him at Newbury latest, but he still has something to find at the weights.
Yes I'm Mali
Has made a positive start for yard which gets the very best out of this type. Fifth in a much better race at Thirsk in late-May (third and fourth winners since), and it's easy to forgive his subsequent effort from a tough draw at York.
Em Four
Largely consistent sort. Best not judged on his latest run at Sandown (slowly into stride), though he has found life tougher in turf handicaps since notching third all-weather success of the year in April.
Rajaking
Started career 2-2 for Stuart Williams. Solid form when runner-up in consecutive C&D handicaps last summer. Back in similar heart when fourth in strong handicap at Windsor last time, and he can resume winning ways with good-value apprentice taking over.
Dancing Rinca (USA)
Ex-American gelding. Sole success came in a maiden at Santa Anita in 2023. Form went wrong way for Neil Drysdale last year, but he's weighted to be competitive if firing on all cylinders for handicap/stable debut.
Dashing Dick (IRE)
Front runner showed a good attitude to justify support on the Rowley Mile (6f) last November. Remains 1 lb below that winning mark following close third in cheekpieces here (7f) latest. Blinkers he wore for 2 previous C&D wins now return.
Emperor's Son (IRE)
Tactically-versatile type. Travelled strongly under more positive ride when doubling his tally for the year at Hamilton (6f) last time. 2 lb rise could understate that performance (runner-up has won since), and he's entitled to run a big race up in grade.
Distant Rumble
Opened his account for the year at Windsor in May. Made the running in a race where it paid to be handy when close third at Salisbury next time, and he faces a stiffer task up in grade.
